In a Crowd

The crowd The image shows the harsh reality of todays busy world where people are so self-intended and selfless that they have even forgot to meet there own or to thank their own colleagues who have helped them to grow during their bad times. The present world shows the crowd where we people are just the small ants of this huge basket. This image in which we can see that in a big crowd there is one girl and one boy who hugging each other as in they have met after long times.(a change in societal mind). It describes their true relationship and their respect for each other. It’s true that today we people have forgotten to greed those persons who used to be our ladders in the way of our success. Hence, it high time when we should realize the importance of these precious gems who helped to make our life shine. Or else their will no humanity remains in this cruel world.

I would say that it is really interesting watching these people kiss eachother between strangers. Maybe this pic shows that love is in the centre of the interest. People old and young, happy or sad, careless or not are standing, probably in a square. But, what can attract our attention are the happy couple kissing eachother.

Surrounded by strangers. Barely proceeding forward or any other directions. I feel trapped. Trapped by unwanted attention and multiple bodies. Trying to cling to my personal space but it's easily being stripped from me. I begin to get very claustrophobic with all these people surrounding me. I begin to breathe fast and anxiety is starting to build up from within. My eyes overlooking the faces that appear in front of me. Someone suddenly pulls me to their body. The person pulled me so hard towards them that my earmuffs were off centered. I look at the person who is clinging onto me and I realized that it was my love, David. He had came to rescue me from the uncomfort of all theses people walking on one street. My anxiety eventually vanished as I looked into his bright blue eyes and nice smile. I didn't notice that there were people around me anymore. All I could think about is this wonderful being in front of me.

I'm pushed and shoved around like a spinning top as I attempt to regain my footing. I search people's faces as I weave by, unnoticed. I adjust my black earmuffs as the bitter wind chills my bare face. I'm shoved to the left by a young man and mutter my apologies as I catch his eye. The man I bumped into gives me a small grin as my eyes open wide in reorganization. "Eric!" I gasp as he pulls me to a hug. Our lips meet and we break apart, ignoring the worried and stressed looks by nearby strangers. "You have to go." He whispers silently as another explosion shakes the ground. "No, I can't. I just found you again and who knows when-" I'm suddenly cut off. "Emily, you need to go. I promise you'll see me again. I promise." "It's not safe!" I cry. Suddenly, another explosion rocks the world, sending me stumbling back. I regain my balance to see Eric with his head turned towards the noise. "WOMEN AND CHILDREN TO THE RIGHT!" a voice rings out. "Emily, go." Eric says, his expression calm but grave. I nod and sprint towards the other Women and Children who huddle in a circle, boarding the chopper. I take one look back to see Eric amidst the chaos as he stands still, smiling at me. I'm forced onto the helicopter as he fades from view, but I can make out his lips saying, "I promise." That's when the final explosion goes off. Towers fall and skyscrapers crumble as I'm lifted from the ground with the other women and children, hoping to see Eric one last time.

I saw him from across the crowd. My heart melted upon seeing the man I'd waited to see for so many years. Thankful that I'd put on a good outfit so he'd see me at my best. I ran toward him, boiling over with excitement. We locked eyes and its like the world stopped. I pushed through the crowd to get to him, knocking people over left and right. I got to him and went to give him a kiss, and as I did I locked eyes with a photographer. "I really hope he doesn't take a picture of me," I silently thought to myself.

It was finally the day! It had been five years since I last saw him, man it have been a long time and I couldn’t even remember his face. I think he had grey hair? It didn’t matter to me I just needed to see him. I ran out of my bed just searching for the nearest clothes. I didn’t care what it was all I knew is I had to see him. Once dressed, I ran out of my apartment door into the street. I could see bystanders staring at me thinking I was insane, but I didn’t care I had to see him. I ran faster than I ever had done before in my life because I needed to see his face. The before I knew it I was in a large crowd, lost, couldn't see anything. Finally I could see his cab through the many people ahead of me. He saw me and walked over. Before I knew it he was in front of me and I couldn't say a word.

Everyone was breathing down each other's necks, bumping into each other, calling out for loved ones. There was confusion, grief, and fear. I saw more than one pickpocket take advantage of the situation. I myself wasn't looking for anything in particular. I was simply going with the flow and letting the crowds take me where they may; I was floating down a river of people. Lost souls would ask me if I knew what was going on, but I gave no reply. Knowledge is power and I was the only one who knew of the events that had transpired inside the museum. "Amy!" a voice calls and I'm crushed against someone. I recognize the person as Matthew, my boyfriend of three months. I'd forgotten about him... "Where did you go?" he asks. "I heard the gunshots and then you disappeared." Not a single word escapes my lips as I calmly gaze at him. He stops talking and returns my stare, but quickly looks away. He's uncomfortable. "Amy... would you stop looking at me like that?" he asks, still unable to meet my eyes. "It's... strange." Suddenly, we hear the sound of a million windows shattering and glass rains down on us. Every building within a five mile radius of the museum is broken. I know this because I was there. In three minutes, all the generators will explode. I know this because I was there. I countdown the time in my head. Five... four... three... I smile at sweet Matthew, innocent Matthew. He was never a part of this. I rise up to whisper a single word in his ear. "Run."

I always make myself look presentable every time I leave my house. Who knows if I could possibly meet the one I've been longing for. I wouldn't want to look like a complete mess, that will probably change their perspective of me and I can't have that. The streets are usually crowded and I have to weave my way through the crowd. It's an everyday thing except today. Today I bumped into the most beautiful person I have ever seen. We locked eyes for less than 5 seconds as I stuttered out an apology. That bright smile and soft "it's totally fine" followed by a small giggle made my heart beat out of my chest. Their eyes were a dark and mysterious shade of brown but instantly turned into a pool of honey in the sun. I wonder what they thought about mine or if they even thought about it. I turned back to find them but in that second they were gone. The thought of never seeing them again had made me sad. But I will soon forget the color of your eyes and you'll forget mine. For now that smile that could kill is engraved into my head. Maybe you were the one.
