I ride a BMW R1200S primarily but also have a old Miata. I also live in Naples Fl and just today passed another top end Porsche in my 110 hp Miata, dragging his but down the road. Ferraris, Maseratis and Porsches all being wasted by old rich guys that don’t ever get out of second gear if these cars still had manual transmissions. Naples is full of them during season. What a shame.

A nice idea, but too rich for my blood. I greatly enjoy driving, since doing it well takes concentration and engagement of the senses, to avoid both accidents and tickets. Sad to say, I don't see many people on the road all that engaged. Worst of all are those on their phones. I have been resigned to driverless cars for several years now, since it is obvious that humans in general don't have the capacity to simultaneously possess a smartphone and driving privileges without drastically lowering their life expectancy.

I've done track days at Monticello and Lime Rock. Both are terrific tracks. Monticello has longer straights. The drive to Lime Rock is nicer. I love tracking my car. I'm less interested in clubhouse amenities. I'd rather pay a lower membership fee to have track-only access.
