Virginia’s Political Chaos Is a Test for Both Parties

The Democratic Party has spit in the collective face of African-American voters by placing blackface-wearing politicians over a loyal voting group. Northam is again demonstrating his disdain for African-Americans in Virginia by refusing to speak with us directly through town halls or through social media. Good luck getting the black vote locally or nationally.

"For Republicans, it illustrates how they can weaponize those politics against their opposition." 'Weaponize' is liberal media speak for expecting Democrats to live by the same standards they impose on Republicans.

@JB I'd be interested in knowing exactly when it became clear that donning garb and make-up to make oneself appear to be a person of another race became universally recognized as insensitive and offense (i.e., racist). I would suggest it has not yet happened as evidenced by the fans of the Washington Redskins, the Atlanta Braves, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cleveland Indians, and more. I believe that 99% of the people who make themselves up to appear as a person from another race do not do so with any intended malice, but more so as an insensitive means to support a team or attempt some form or art. I don't defend their behavior, but recognize an important distinction in their motivating factor. If I am going to demand a person resign a position because they are a 'racist', I would first want evidence that they treated people of a different race adversely precisely because of that person's race, such as in housing or work place discrimination, or other behaviors indicative of actual malice, as opposed to just their insensitivity. If one was to demand the resignation of any politician who was openly and purposely insensitive to individuals, groups, and/or other races, Donald Trump would be the very first one who would have to go. Yet the nation recognizes and accepts that Trump is an insensitive lout and no one demands his resignation for that trait. It is his traitorous conduct that is problematic for the president.

Personally, I'd like to see Charles Barkley in whiteface. What better way to get this issue off the table?
