Boy, I'm on the edge of my seat. So very, very important.

Sorry Tyler, (specialist in Metrology..that's measurements). These best estimates do NOT take into account varying shoe floor to actual heel height. Mid-point of lips to top of level head, 50 percentile =7.3in Tua Tagovailoa = 73in.=6'1" Tyler Murray top of head ( best level line) = 67in.= 5'7"

What will Murray do if he is told that he will probably not be a first round draft pick? I think that is what everyone is waiting for?

"This might be the ultimate millennial move: always, always play your cards optimally, and you will maximize your accomplishments." My word is my bond until it's not. Way to go millies.

Style question: Why is “Murray” used instead of “Mr. Murray” on subsequent references, as NYT guidelines would seem to require?

Kyler Murray has the opportunity to become a great baseball player. He will not be a great NFL player and will more than likely get injured and will not be able to player either sport. He should not just look at the money. Kyler - go to MLB

I’m not sure his professional ambivalence is due to him being a millennial. The choices at QB in this year’s draft are thin and it favors Murray. If he is selected in the 1st round, he will make more guaranteed money, likely start playing sooner than he would for the A’s, and playing quarterback in the NFL brings a level of stardom that outfielder in the MLB does not. Lamar Jackson was the last pick of the 2018 1st round draft (#32) and received $8 million fully guaranteed. Compare that to the $4.6 million Murray will receive from the Oakland A’s. That is not a modest difference.

Football (probably) pays more than baseball. Baseball doesn't (generally) shorten or impair life after the games are history. Choices, choices...

Mediocre baseball players make significantly more than mediocre nfl players - and MLB contracts are guaranteed. Seems like a no-brainer to me (no pun intended)

He will not be a prized quarterback recruit. A bad year for college qb’s, and he is not the best.

If the ncaa is involved corruption is close by.

How many Heisman Trophy winners have proved to be busts in the NFL?
Michael (Dutton, Michigan)
I am a bit of a skeptic. It is hard to resist the millions billionaire @NFL owners have to spend on a star. I think he is watching all the zeros pile up after that first whole number in his value.
Michael (Dutton, Michigan)
@Michael Recall that another very famous quarterback also had the baseball/football choice. John Elway chose the NFL.
Tori (San Francisco)
You're telling me they over estimated his height? The fragility of the male ego never ceases to amuse and disturb me. I would think his "real height" would make his athletic achievements even more impressive.
Erik (Kansas City)
@Tori Height is important for QBs, they need to be able to see over the O line.
