Whoever awarded the contract to Tetra-Tech should be fired.
The Federal Government could easily reduce the Department of Defense budget by 10 percent. The resulting savings for one year would fund childcare for working parents and paid maternity leave.
A system to actually encourage our productive society to have kids. That's a social policy to strengthen the fabric of our society. Family and societal values are learned at home. America's police state, crowded jails and bloated social welfare of single parents is the result of poor government programs that encourage bad behavior. Encourage a society of families.
