When I look at this illustration the message I think it is saying is for the old you to reach the new you or future you, you have to go through certain obstacles to get there. I definitely agree with this message. I like this message a lot because I believe you do have to go through things to become the person you truly are which in this case the obstacles are called an “Adventure”. I like the word the writer used saying an adventure instead of saying stages or obstacles. We all can probably say we can connect to this message. I personally can connect to this message because the person I was 4 years ago probably isn’t the same person I am today. Now I’m still trying to find my true self but believe I have made growth on a good level. This message which I have said before I really liked it. I like the idea of it as well as it saying how you do go through things to where it can result to who you will be as a person. Everyone should hear about this message because they should think about how the things they are doing in life can be a result on how they are in the future.

In this picture it is saying that when old you goes and experiences an adventure it helps shape you and change you to the new you. I like the message of this a lot because I think that people need to step out of their comfort zone more often, including myself. I get so comfortable doing the same thing everyday or even hanging out with the same people every weekend. I have had some of the most fun ever in my life when I went out and tried new things. It just makes you feel happier to know that you are doing something or have something to look forward to. For example, I went to a middle school where a majority of the students in my grade were districted for a different high school. I was so nervous to go to a new school ,practically alone, where I had to start all over. Had I not done that I wouldn’t have met some of the best friends I have ever had. This situation has taught me so much and helped me realize that I need to reach out and be more outgoing to new things and people. Without this experience I wouldn’t have gotten to the person I am now.

To me, this image seems to be saying that we are adventurous when we are young, but we become less free as our views about the world change with age. I remember when me and my family moved when I was six years old. I was thrilled by the excitement of change and getting to live somewhere else. But when me and my family moved again when I was fourteen, there was still the excitement of moving, but there was a lot more anxiety of the change that the move might bring. I was thinking less about the adventure and change, and more about what things I would have to get used to. When we constantly choose rationalization over adventure with age, it can become a burden. We develop more stress from seeing more of the bad side of things rather than the good side that has always been there. I think that we should all try to see that good side of things, to hope and go on adventures. Many people start to lose some of their creativity as they get older, but it seems that they gain it again when they become old. A lot of the elderly seem happy and wise because I think that they realize over time that life is an adventure and we should enjoy it. I think that the picture shows that we go from being the “old you” that is adventurous to the “new you” that is separate. However, I think the image forgets to include the adventure that we regain over time.

This picture symbolizes new beginnings. Simply meaning, that after you've completed a journey, you are a different person. You have a new experience under your belt, and everything you do in life changes you in some way. I think that is also illustrates how even though you've changed and always will, you are still the same person underneath it all.

This picture illustrates the journey of maturity: an adventure. I believe that any change that occurs to a person is brought forth by an adventure, whether it has a positive or negative ending. For example, if I broke a leg by tripping on something, there will inevitably be a change from the "old" me, who is more carefree about walking, and the "new" me, who knows the consequences of carelessness. The adventure in between is experience, from tripping, treating, and healing. This experience allows a person to learn from his or her mistakes, becoming a "new you". This illustration can be viewed in many other ways. Another example would be that the adventure is an academic learning process. The difference between the old and new you is the knowledge you have gained. Overall, the picture is an accurate representation of each moment in life; a person embarks on multiple adventures each second, and continuously changes to be a "new" person.
