I loved the play — one of the best things I’ve seen. I’ve been in rehab and Marin Ireland’s character was spot-on. On your nerves? Of course! That’s the character and the playwright is not afraid to make you feel uncomfortable. I too think the reviewer is unfair. The characters are very well drawn, the acting top notch and the production outstanding. Highly recommend.

I liked this play a lot (more than the reviewer did) and thought that many of the characters were well drawn and behaved in surprising ways which avoided the cliches I was expecting. The weakest element was Marin Ireland's performance, which was rushed and mannered. I have liked her in other roles but here she seemed to think that the faster she spoke the sassier she would be perceived. Instead she was just throwing away the dialogue necessary to understand her character and replacing it with empty attitude. But I still recommend the play. Rosebrock is a playwright to watch.

A fair review of a play I found to be a bore. I've like Marin Ireland's past performances but here her hyperkenetic delivery really got on my nerves. I would not recommend this play to anyone.

Ms. Ireland is a wonder. I liked the ending. Her struggle to say that childhood "stuff" happened to her was powerful. Unbearable really. She is both gifted and brave. Yes, bring on Blanche, Maggie, Hedda, etc. Can't wait.
