Say what you will about Amazon's tactics but I give them kudos for having the good sense not to push Illinois further into the financial dump. Let's see what other Hail Mary attempts our politicians have for getting the state out of this mess.

@CT JB Pritzker has plenty of ideas - all of which are going to cost you and me a bundle. Wisconsin is looking better by the day, my friend.

If I were a mayor or a governor I would NOT want Amazon's giant warehouse. It's clear that Amazon is set up for robots, robots that don't exist.... yet. People die from exhaustion from working there and go unnoticed and most of their job is running to get a product from one place to another a job made for a robot. So these cities who are offering billions of lost tax revenue for a future huge employee layoff are nuts.

Amazon played this the same way Professional Sports Franchises play it. Dangle the possibility of moving and see which city is most willing to bankrupt itself.

It is always interesting to see how much of the store that local governments will give away to attract businesses. It's madness.

So what has Seattle done to keep the HQ in town? Colombia offered 15 years of tax free
