Better late than never....The Queen of Soul began as the Queen of Gospel in her Daddy's church. Looking forward to seeing this film... Also see " Say Amen Somebody" about the life and legacy of the father of gospel music former bluesman Thomas A. Dorsey of Chicago.

Can’t wait to see and hear this film!! So happy it’s coming out esp in times like these.

I've been waiting for this for years. I somehow knew the Queen was blocking it for personal reasons, b/c if she'd wanted it out--it'd be out! But it's time, and I can't wait.

Hallelujah! Shortly before this film was made, I was on the rail at an Aretha concert, at the edge of the stage, for the greatest concert experience of my life!

I’d like to see this and am sure it will be inspiring. The Oscar for best documentary this year, however, must go to Free Solo.

Hurrah for Aretha Franklin and her maybe greatest performance finally coming out on film, and hurrah-plus for Alan Elliott, who rediscovered and unearthed the film and worked for years, even against Ms. Franklin's opposition, to bring this wonder forth.

Looking forward to watching this film. Sing dear Aretha sing! Your spirit lives on and I can't get enough of your precious soul.
