This series has been great, but I'm sorry to see instant replay being implemented to make final calls on the plays. One of the great things about baseball for me was always that human error was part of it, and an umpire's call was final even when everybody else on the planet but the umps knew it. That heartbreak was fodder for a million conversations all winter.

@Next Conservatism, thank the baseball gods there are still a handful of called strikes and balls that have me jumping out of my seat crying "Noooo!" and ultimately rejecting my impulse to "moider de ump!"

Note that the real reason Correa was snooping on the Astros was because there were suspicions that Luhnow had taken Cardinals' proprietary trade secrets to Houston with him. The Astros were one of the worst teams in baseball at that point, and the Cardinals had no need for anything the Astros had.
