Trailer looks horrible and the show has gotten horrible reviews but it's Lena Dunham and she genuinely hates Donald Trump, so let's all pretend this is quality television.

@Conroy: really, that's what passes for talent these days? "She hates Trump, so she's A-OK!" Here's what I know of Lena Dunham: she has never anything that was not purely autobiographical about her life. Her first film "Tiny Furniture" -- her web series "Downtown Dysfunctional Divas" -- her way-too-famous HBO series "Girls" -- about her, her, her, HER. You can't make that into a very long career, because you swiftly outstrip your own very young life.

I kind of have to agree. Sad to say life in the US these days is pretty much divided into the evil or indifferent Republicans vs the progressive and humane Democrats. Perhaps not all Democrats are progressive and humane, but I don't believe anyone who supports trump is.

“‘It’s like one giant bottle episode,’ Ms. Dunham said of the series...” Designed to advance a carefully curated image of what life is meant to resemble? Das Camp-ital.

No thanks. Lena Dunham remains overrated.

I knew Jenni in our teens. She was wickedly funny. Savagely, wickedly funny. Everybody was afraid of her. I hope she creates something that allows her to be wicked and savage and even cruel, maybe a bit like Shane Black or Archer. That's her comedy gift. Anybody can make relevant, political art.
