I enjoyed his work on Cosby, especially his scenes with Phylicia Rashad. I look forward to seeing him on HAHN. And, Mr. Owens comes from a wonderful family. During this recent event, he has certainly made his brothers and extended family and friends proud.

I wasn't surprised he was working. I was surprised he was disheveled. I guess I thought he'd be more like his character, who was some sort of professional.

Nice, thoughtful man and I hope it continues to work out for him.

I do as well.

Geoffrey Owens is a humble man and fortunate man, full of talent and love for his craft. However, what about all those who haven't had his life experiences, who toil at TJ's and other stores barely eking out a living, no one is taking their picture and giving them acting offers. So many Americans have been left behind in this winner take all economy. So many struggle to get by or end up on the street. Geoffrey Owens earned his good fortune, others are not so lucky, and my point is we must not forget them. They also need an opportunity at a better life. Clearly, Mr. Owens understands this and it's what makes him a wonderful person.

@Bocheball My goodness! Not "all those [others]" that work at Trader Joe's are struggling to get by, eking out a living, filled with self-pity, or seeing themselves as unlucky and victimized.

@Bocheball I want to ad in defense of Trader Joes. This applies to CA not the whole country. People I talked to who work at TJs say in this field TJs is one of the best. Unless things have change so much. I have never seen whips and chains.

@lowereastside Do you really think you can make a living working at TJ's or other chain stores? A living that affords you a good quality of life? I love TJ's by the way, the atomosphere is so much better than Whole Foods, for instance, but I wonder what they pay their check out people.

You are a class act, Geoffrey Owens.

Jobs dont bring dignity to a man, but a man can bring dignity to any job.

Such an awesome person. So real and down to earth. When he said "Do whatever you need to do to stay in touch with the art and the craft that you love." in response to what advice for other actors who aren't A-listers I silently raised my hands and screamed 'Amen'. So many people give up and walk away when times get tough. He is a perfect example of stick with it and things will work out.... even if you have to change garbage lining while working at Trader Joe's.

From "job shamed" to "job claimed."

His comment on Cosby stood out to me: "When it happened...I just said, at the time, “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.” That’s all I said about it. What I say now is I don’t know what happened. I wasn’t there." So before he was judged guilty, presume his innocence. After he was judged guilty, I guess we'll never know because we weren't there. Seriously?

@Katie H. “After he was judged guilty, I guess we’ll never know because we weren’t there.” He doesn’t state or imply that. He says only that He didn’t have any personal exposure to Cosby’s crimes, and therefore can’t add anything to what’s known generally.

@crick Nonsense. Katie’s interpretation was perfectly valid. And she’s right: Owens’ position is indefensible.

Unemployment and dried up royalty checks are casualties of the fallout from men and women in the entertainment business who commit sexual misconduct. Are funds from the MeToo and TimesUp movements being used to help those affected?

Mr. Owens is an example of a man of great humility. Congratulations to what appears to be a resurgence of his television acting career. An added congratulations for his acting role in HAHN, Mr. Perry only hires beautiful faces for the show. It's a win-win for both, everyone will be watching HAHN (hopefully those who are not regular watchers understand its melodramatic formula). Wishing him much success and increased income.

Love this! This is the man who made me laugh on the Cosby Show. I could see his talent then and I am hopeful and look forward to seeing more of his talent in the future. He and Sabrina Le Beauf , the actress who played Sandra to his Elvin on the Cosby Show made quite a team playing the daughter and son-in-law to Cliff and Claire Huxtable. They were amusing. I am so glad this fine actor has been given the opportunity to have his say as well as show more of his talent. He has made quite a statement that I hope just like he stated, will continue "re-evaluation of what it means to work and the idea that one job isn’t better than another". I also like how he holds his own in this conversation, in particular, in regard to the question as to whether the Tyler Perry opportunity was a "hand-out" as a result of the "unflattering articles" situation he experienced in August. He answered that question! I wish him only the best in the future; he deserves this and every opportunity he receives! I'll be watching!

What a great guy. So much gratitude in this and many valuable life lesson take aways. I have much admiration for him and yes different varieties of work, regardless of status, are and can be valuable. Thank you for this.

Geoffrey Owens seems like a good guy. I’m glad he’s getting some chances to work in his field. Although the photograph worked out for him, the humans behind the cameras and the publishers have to stop shaming ordinary citizens. These are values that must be taught. Who is teaching them?
