I like the concept of casting off sin by the day of forgiveness though. I'd argue it takes a little more to actually undo sin. It's harder than a confession or a bath in a river. Causality rules, as it must.

Some proficiency....needs a lot of extra work....it's like blowing a toy trumpet at home and thinking you're Louis Armstrong, but lest any non-Jew think that's all there is to it, there's more ritual and a proper program to follow. I wasn't able to tell if he was wearing a kippah or not...would it be necessary at home....not sure He might have chosen to bring his little daughter to synagogue on Rosh Hashana...she would have gotten a more proper earful....and maybe had that first implantation of that sound into her little developing brain.. Who am I to tell anyone, let alone Mark Zuckerberg about the shofar....just sayin'
