If I was to make a band it would be rock cause i like how it sounds. My band name would be Black Roses cause I like the color black and I like roses. There would be five people the singer, two guitarist, a bass player and me on the drums. I would want a stage name cause my name is just boring I would want my stage name to be awesome and to have meaning also to go with the type of music we would make.

My band name would be "Good Times" because everyone likes to have a good time. I Want my fans to like my name and enjoy hearing it. If I happened to do a solo act I would want my name to be Bright sun.

My band name would be "December Yellow". Its combines my favorite colour and my favorite month. I want my fans to question my band name, because I like a bit of mystery in my life. Names are always important in show bussiness. I chose a name that shows who I am. I would change my name if I became a solo artist. I believe that solo artists change their name, so that their name is easier to remember.

Well, in today's music industry, music now is mostly digital with songwriters being at the top of their game along with their producers. It will never be the same since technology has advanced our capabilities in audio editing and easy access. In other words, the way how music is produced and the way it’s written has changed dramatically. From going on stage performing with a group of mates with their instruments (guitar, bass, drums, piano, etc.) to a singer composing lyrics and having someone else produce the effects. The digital world has created new passages to our liking in music. From classics to blues to jazz to rock n' roll to hip-hop to rap, music has come a long way in not only in their artistic composition but to its meaning as well. What would you name your band? Age of All (I called it) Why? Because it sounds rock-ish and that is what we want to stand for. What message/vibe we want it to amplify? Amplify the conflicts between life and time. To give that 80s and 90s vibe rock bands used to give when Slash or Van Halen did that solo in that song we muttered in our happy mood. The thing is that anyone can compose music regardless of having experience in playing an instrument or knowing to read a music sheet. Digital technology has been so helpful to the young minds that they can express anything and everything through a song. Whether they can rap out good rhymes or sing flawlessly, placing effects like beats or compressing the audio they can be famous.

After reading the article I think I know why some musicians change their name. It's because they want their artist name to match their music personality. They also sometimes change their name so people can remember their name and music. For example Bruno Mars real name is Peter Hernandez. Not that much people will remember his real name, they will just go by Bruno Mars.

After reading the New York Times article, "What would you name your band?", by Michael Gonchar, I think that special names are important to the show business. They draw attention to the person or group that without a name, would be unrecognizable. Some of the best bands in history had some of the coolest and weirdest names. For example, Bon Jovi, Deaf Leopard, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Those are just a few of the many very successful bands with interesting and engaging names. I think names are very important to the show business and music industry. It draws attention and fame that would be lacking without the interesting names.

After reading the article, "What Would You Name Your Band?" I would say that in a band's name, there should be heart, inspiration, hidden meaning, and catchy; something like BTS for example. The reason why name is so important in show business is because people need to remember about you. If you have a long name, people are more likely to forget, or it . would be harder for it to pop up on search engines like Google, or Safari, or Youtube to name a few. Also stated in the last paragraph of the article, the author wrote, "Our Guitarist suggested Red Mollusk Sect, because we cover Blue oyster Cult, but it's too hard to say." What that sentence prove was that yes, it does come from on inspiration, just that if it too long, or too hard to remember, it is not going to be a good business name. In conclusion, what lies in a name should be either heart, inspiration, a hidden meaning, or catchy, or even all of the above, and that is important because people tend to remember a more symbolic and catchy name over some long and hard name like "Red Mollusk Sect."
