I confirm that I have read these comments. Strange indeed.

Very strange set of comments - seems to be old leftovers or something… Rachel, I have a mental image of a golden object impressed with “24K” - that is how I remember karats are for gold and carats are for diamonds (and carrots are for stews).

Brian, nobody reads these... other than me.

Who reads these comments?

Could someone provide a newbie with a detailed explanation of how ‘revealers’ are supposed work: they seem to appear randomly and often don’t actually reveal’ anything relevant to the puzzle at hand (take today’s puzzle, for example).

I have half-written many a crossword puzzle, so I'm excited to find this series. Meanwhile, why does NARD not register as a word on SpellingBee?

How about ‘decede’ and ‘’decedent’? I suspect that some days the editor, Sam Ezersky, just doesn’t give this puzzle the attention it deserves. In particular, he seems to show no interest in including words that are regularly identified as missing. This level of inattention could end up hurting the Times.

Deb, a question about puzzle submission. I note that NYT will not accept a previously published puzzle. Given that, how long does it take to evaluate a constructor's submissions? If not accepted by NYT, I would want to offer them elsewhere. Thanks!

Who said the sandwich must be kosher? Pastrami is used in many different cuisines.
Tom Daniels (Buffalo, NY)
@Le New Yorkais Precisely! Pastrami is not inherently kosher, and i know many people who eat pastrami who do not keep kosher, myself included
Donald Berger (Hollywood, FL)
Re 33Down in today's puzzle. "Swiss" could NEVER be a "Pastrami go-with." It' not Kosher.
