Just remember this. If you aren't going to vote either in this primary or in the election, then don't complain about the results. In the end, only those who actually voted will matter. There is a reason why politician are known for always trying to cater to groups that they know are large voting blocks. Also, there are times when low voter turnout gives us politicians that we don't like because of the few that could stand up to them.

DiNapoli wasn't on my ballot - was he running unopposed and therefore Comptroller wasn't even on there?

He was running unopposed. He wasn’t on my ballot either.

I LOVE that you make this cheat sheet every voting day!! But I’m a teacher and needed to get to the polling station right at 6AM, was looking for your cheat sheet last night and then refreshing my app this morning hoping it’d post in time, but I missed it. Polling opens 6AM, I think it’s fair to suggest some people might need this the night before. Thanks for all that you do!!

I agree NY Times— those of us who work long hour and have to vote right at 6am need this earlier.

Just wondering if NYTimes editorial board today had any thoughts at all about democratic primary races on Staten Island. Since Staten Island races are not mentioned at all in the editorial.

“In New York, we vote separately for governor and lieutenant governor, so you’re free to vote for candidates regardless of their ticket.” So does that mean a third party registered voter may vote in today’s primary?!
