At the Northern Rivers there as lately been a lot of chefs and restaurants coming toward the lake. People have been so surprised how beautiful it is. The small town of Brunswick Heads is absolutely lovely and serene. Along the rivers, there are creeks that lead to the ocean. People say it is a very special part of the globe. So many people want to visit. They say it is the new Malibu of Australia. It is definitely a place everyone wants to go, no matter the age. It is very peaceful and beautiful. Everyone that has been there fell in love and enjoyed their whole stay there. There is wonderful food and people there. You would never be able to get enough of this place. If you ever want to visit there “The Belongil Beach House” is well recommended and is very fantastic. It also is a brilliant art/music scene. Oh, and if you are a big surfer, the surfing there is very uncrowded. No matter the age, or what you like to do, or what you don't like to do, you will always enjoy yourself here in the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales, Australia. My cousin has recently just got back from Port Douglas, Australia and she said it was beautiful and the weather was perfect, so this area is probably just as good or maybe even better. Th restaurants there have so many different food cultures for everyone. You sure will enjoy yourself there.

Stumbled across this quaint area last week while driving down the Gold Coast to see an old Aussie fiend who’s from nearby Mullumbimby. The small town of Brunswick Heads was absolutely lovely and serene. Didn’t eat at Fleet unfortunately but I did enjoy a delicious falafel salad at the Brunswick Hotel Pub (around the corner). It’s a stone’s throw from the footpath bridge that crosses the creek and leads to the ocean (scenic, peaceful). A very special part of the globe. Will hopefully, someday, get the chance to visit again.

Ex hippie? Once a hippie, always a hippie. Your "boho-chic" gentrification wouldn't be there but for the way of life begun in the sixties. A bit of the substance has been appropriated, at least, along with less-scruffy elements of the style .

Absolutely beautiful food photos. Beautiful people and even more beautiful area. The new Malibu of Australia. So glad I went there over 30 years ago when it was truly magical and the surfing was uncrowded. Mullumbimby's farmer's market was a treasure, full of vibrant youth and alternative food culture. I recall meeting coffee bean growers and cycling a stationary bike to squeeze wheat grass into juice. It was only a matter of time until it was all 'found'. The Belongil Beach House was fantastic. A brilliant art/music scene too!
