There are two ways you can see this one it could be a scavenger hunt because the lady with the blond hair she has two basket exactly the same. The other way you can see it is that they are doing research. On one of the basket they have a note which could be data or it can be a note for the scavenger hunt.

It’s Fall. I can see leaves falling from the trees above. Down below, there are two girls hiking in the woods and stopped to look at an unusual picnic basket on a spectacle tree, with green moss and some small bark. Inside, there is supposedly soft food for them to eat and fresh water to drink. Yet, they keep observing. It’s not every day when you hike in the woods you see a picnic basket lying on a tree with bark and moss.
It was still a mystery to them. This picture has made me think that because there is a picnic basket lying on a tree in the middle of the woods.

After doing a reverse google image search, I still could not find anything else relating to the picture, except the fact that the area they are in is considered an, “old growth forest”.

I see in this picture two woman in a very lively forest picking moss off of a tree, they look like they are using the basket to collect whatever they’re looking at because the basket does not have food in it, and they’re both sitting there with their hands extended. I really quite like this picture, it has a main focal point but also many small areas of interest. The focal point being two people of different ethnicities looking at something that is impeccably placed right behind one of the two woven baskets they have with them which is set up upon a dead tree. It appears to me that they could be dealing with something within the realm of nature, this could be apart of their job or they could also just be on a harmless weekend walk where they just stumbled upon something cool. The saturation looks as if it was turned up upon the picture for the moss is so vibrantly green and behind them in the woods, it seems as if the trees are almost illuminated creating a very whimsical feeling. My guess as to the time of year is spring or fall due to the layers the people are wearing and in regards to location, I really am not sure because of the differentiation between the ethnicity of the people and that all I can see is wet forest but possibly somewhere in Europe.

I don't think they are looking for truffles since truffles grow in the ground near the roots of trees not in them but it is likely that they are looking for mushrooms . The only thing holding me back from the mushroom theory is that there arent any mushrrom anywhere else on the tree.

When I first saw this picture I thought it was photoshopped. The man's hand and the tree or moss around it looks a little fake but the rest looks fine. As I look at it more it looks fine. I do not think this picture is photo shopped because I know from experience that moss can be that brightly colored especially in the spring I think that these ladies are researching some new type of moss that has popped up in a cloudy forest. Also just because it is cloudy in the picture doesn't mean their faces won't be lit up. on the contrary they're faces are lit up with a pale white light so it is probably the light that made its way through the clouds.
I agree with you! This picture does seem like it's been photo shopped. I even think this might be a seen off of a movie. I think this because it kind of reminded me of the little red ridding hood. There's a grandma that seems to be with her daughter and they are carrying baskets. The setting is also perfect because that seems like a place where there might be a wolf. I wonder why they are dressed so fancy in a place like that? I can see the grandma might be wearing boots with heels and the daughter seems to have some leather leggings on.
TBH this picture looks pretty fake. The colors are popping a little too much. The photoshop looks pretty fake in this one.
However, if I were to pretend that this picture was in no way altered I could infer that these two ladies are inspecting the radioactive-looking moss. Possibly the picture was taken in a studio since an interesting, unnatural looking light is reflecting off the baskets. The women's faces are being lit up pretty professionally if I do say so myself, whilst the background seems to be lacking sunlight. The farthest I will go to prove the validity of this picture is that it was professionally taken.
I agree, however the moss can´t be radioactive because the ladies are touching it. You can definitely spot the light of a flash on the baskets and also the the woman´s pants. The woman can be investigating how that much moss was able to grow on the tree, because it is pretty hard to find it.
I agree with this post because there is a black outline around the Asian lady, suggesting she was cropped into the picture. But if it wasn't photoshopped, the moss could have been exposed to radiation. For example, this could be a forest around the Chernobyl. Or it could just be an unusual species of moss that has very bright colors. One other option is that they are acting out a scene of a book or movie where the characters encounter brightly colored moss, which would explain why they would photoshop the image.

Also, the tree seems to be fallen and now growing anymore, this makes me think that the moss formed because the dead tree and the scientist can maybe measure the rate of the moss growing.

I think this because there is a Ziploc bag in the basket with what seems to be a dry leaf, and the lack of leaves on the trees points towards the presence of dried leaves. I have found some similarities between the way you are thinking about this picture and the way I am thinking about this picture. I agree with you that the woman in the picture is some kind of scientist. They might be microbiologist or environmentalist. I also think that the research might be on specific species of moss. My guess would be that these two ladies are taking a sample of the dead tree, to further study what caused it to die.
In this picture, two researchers are trying to find the mythical Easter basket that belongs to the one and only Easter bunny. On the way up the great mountain of 5000 bunny hops they found 4 golden Easter eggs containing ancient bunny scrolls. There could be many stories behind this picture. One possible thing that could be happening is that these women seems to be putting a picnic basket on a fallen tree. The reason they might be doing this is because they might be planning to something or a family adventure. Another thing that they could be doing is exploring things themselves. These women could be doing a journal entry about moss or fallen tree in nature. But, its hard to tell exactly what they are doing in this picture.

Dear Brady, I disagree with you. To begin with, the women are not dressed as professional scientist, there are no lab coats or tools to indicate they're field of study. They are wearing regular clothing. Also, I don't think the women are investigating the green moss on the tree, but rather wiping off a clean area to sit and enjoy their lunch in the forest. I think the basket is used for a picnic; not as part of the investigation collecting evidence.
I agree with you Brady because they are probably trying to see how the moss became part of the tree and also seeing how the growth of it effects the wildlife.

I agree,what I saw was that there were green stuff on the tree which means it probably made the tree fall down the two ladies as you mentioned are the ones that are trying to get samples to see what caused it,and see if they can prevent it from happening again.
I agree that they could be ecologists examining the tree, but I think they would have something a little more professional to put the samples in than a picnic basket. The basket appears to contain a white cloth and maybe a pair of black boots, its hard to tell, but I don't know what they would use it for and what it has to do with the moss on the tree.

In this picture, two female researchers seem to be collecting samples of fungus from a tree trunk. I believe they will analyze the fungus in a lab to discover things like the type of fungus, the types of trees it grows on, etc. Though they are not wearing lab coats, they have heavy boots on, which indicates to me that they were meant to be there for a specific purpose, not just independent research. When I look closer, I can see another basket on the forest floor. It appears to be filled with plastic bags containing items, such as fungus or tree bark, from the forest.

It seems like it's fall because of the color of the leaves in the background. I think these women are studying the moss on the fallen tree because of the things inside the picnic basket aren't for a picnic and could be tools. You can tell the tree has fallen by the way it's on the ground and how you can see the trees' roots.

Earlier this week, biologists were baffled by a strange moss that had began appearing in the appalachian mountains of Virginia. At first glance, the moss seems like any other patch you'd see on a tree, but this moss in no way native to this region. Scientists have been studying the moss and have confirmed that the plant is toxic, however it can only cause harm if ingested. For Human this is not an issue, but for animals that eat anything they see, this is huge issue. Scientists also say that the plant is spreading like a virus, and that all attempts to stop it have failed.
This is an interesting theory. What makes you certain that this picture was taken in Virginia, or in the Appalachian mountains at all?

I think that in this picture these ladies are releasing an animal in their basket into the wilderness. I think that it's a wild squirrel that was hurt and that found it and took care of it. They covered the basket that way the squirrel doesn't get out.

In this picture it seems that two women who are dressed in clothing for cool weather and carrying baskets are collecting samples of moss maybe for a scientific study of some sort. Maybe to observe certain species of moss that grow in different areas or different seasons.
In the image there is two older ladies who seem to be observing an uprooted tree that is covered in moss. They both have baskets, maybe filled with supplies or tools to help with their observations.
Why do you think they are observing the tree? Do you think they are working or doing this for fun?
In this picture we see two colleagues who appear to be inspecting a tree. Based on the way they are looking at the tree they could be scientists or environmentalists gathering information on this seemingly dead (based on the fact that it's downed) yet very alive (lots of moss growing on it) tree. Another theory would be, based on the picnic baskets that they could be on some sort of hike about to eat lunch, but this is quite unlikely due to the fact that neither one of them has a hiking pack.
I think the people in the picture is looking at the process of the dead tree and the stage that it is at. Also, they are looking at the grass or aige that is on the tree.
The women are looking for food. They are vegans and only eat natural food.the Asian girl is teaching the white girl how to forage.
Interesting. How did you come to this conclusion? What makes you think that they only eat natural food? Please explain more.
Good morning, WGOITP! We are looking closely at this image, and our first reaction is that these two women are investigating the moss on a fallen tree in an Eastern forest. We say that is an Eastern forest because it looks like autumn, and there is no autumn here in SoCal. The red and brown leaves, the cool weather, and the clothes they are wearing are our evidence for this conclusion. They are wearing heavy jackets, and one has a scarf on. They appear to be looking closely, or collecting samples from the moss on the tree. The tree has fallen over, and we think it did so a long time ago. My students say this because of the roots sticking up in the air, and the amount of moss on those roots. We now return to the image to see what more we can find!

Room 21 thinks that these are scientists studying growths on fallen trees in a forest. We think they are scientists because they had special equipment in their baskets and they seemed to be pointing to something on the tree and not having lunch.
In this picture I see two elderly women in the forest. They are on a old mossy tree that seems to have been uprooted from a storm . They have a basket with them and one of them seems to be collecting moss off of the tree
I think the people are examining moss. They are eating to while working. They might be scientist.

These two people are in the woods hiding from society. They brought a basket so they can stay away for awhile. They're weird people that don't want to have to deal with people or anything. They need to find the perfect tree to stay at so they are searching.

In this picture two women I'm guessing who are geologist are studying a tree that fell over in the Old Growth forest in Great Britain.The tree recently feel over after a big rainstorm in august.
I think in this photo the two people are having a picnic in the woods.The reason why I think this is because they have a basket full of stuff.Something else that I notice is that the two are just looking at the basket.

I think these two women are biologists studying the moss on the tree. This is apparent because there are some plastic bags which might be used for the collection of samples and for testing for certain substances on the moss. There is also what appears to be a spare pair of boots or gloves which could help for the collection of samples or for walking in nature.
I believe they are looking for some type of plant that grows near and/on moss. Possibly mushrooms or the moss itself. They could be looking under the tree for plants as well. I believe the basket there holds mushrooms As they are soft and that could be a reason for the napkin, For cushioning.
In this picture they are having a photo shoot in the forest. In the forest there are 2 women that look like that are collecting moss. So I think that the women are scientist that are collecting information on the old looking forest.
In this picture, two people are looking at a fallen tree in the woods. You can see it has been down for a while now since it has moss all over it. I say that because they are studying the composition of the tree.
I think they are testing the ability of the ants found by putting the food in the picnic basket in a bag and they they will watch how much they will carry or they are testing a relelant by seeing how effective it is against the ants in the forest in New England judging by the trees in the fall because of the leaves on the ground. I also think that they may testing the tree and see what made it fall or how it fell.
In Britain these people are looking at a fallen down tree. The person in the back is Japanese and the one in the front is British and specialize in fallen down trees.
The fallen tree has a random basket on it and they want to know whats in it.

What do you see that makes you say the figure in the front is British? The figure in the back is Japanese? What do you see that makes you say they are in Britain? That the basket was found there?

These 2 women are enjoying a picnic in a forest; the tree and the background makes me say this. I can also find there are plastic bags; maybe they are cleaning the forest.
It looks like a couple of explorers looking at the mold in trees because there is a basket with like lab bags and pens and utensils that look like they're for exploring. They are observing the tree trunk, more specifically, the green mold on it and it looks like they're looking for something very specific.
The Girls in the picture are about to eat.They have been looking for a place to eat and they found this fallen tree with moss and thought it would be a nice spot.They are going to take samples of the trees too though.
In this picture there are two people and it looks like they might be taking samples of the tree or they might be studying the tree. Also they have some type of basket and it looks like there is a bag in the basket. This picture was taken in Britain.

In this picture you can see two women. They look like they are investigating a tree they are also carrying a basket which makes me think that maybe they are taking things they are finding throughout the forest to investigate or maybe just show to their class. Maybe they are teachers. The forest looks very cool and mysterious, I have no idea where this might be it could be anywhere.

In this picture there are two scientists that are getting samples of moss from the tree to study it. The tree looks old since it is very big and is covered in moss and it is on the ground so it probably fell down a long time ago. The two women have baskets with plastic bags in it, which could be where they are putting the samples in, and they are both looking at the tree and doing something to it, but you can't see what they are doing exactly because of the basket that is in the way.

In this picture the two women are examinating the trees grass. I think that they are in a northern country because of their clothing and the season. I can see that they are examinating the tree because of the way they are looking at it. The other thing I can infere is that that place is a moisty place because of the grass of the tree.
Deep in the forest of London, two scientists are studying what caused this much moss to go on a tree. They seemed so excited because they have not seen this much moss.

I think they are studying the moss or having a picnic. I think there having a picnic because they have a picnic basket. I also think they are sampling moss because they have a basket and theyre putting moss in it.
In the picture, I can see two women bending down beside a tree trunk in a place where it seems like it is a cold place. The forest seems wet and the women are using jackets. I think that the two women are analyzing something from the tree trunk because there is also a basket on top of the trunk where it seems like there are tools.
It looks like the 2 women are exploring/examining the moss of the tree. I can say this because they are touching it and looking at it in a detailed way. Besides, it looks like photoshop because the tree has a dif color to the others.

It looks like this two women are in a Easter Hunt. The reason I think this is because there is a basket that is for the eggs.
I disagree because I see that the two women are observing the tree and are trying to find information about the trees. I think this is happening in a forest.
I think they are evaluating the health of the tree and why did it fell down. The old women are probably tree experts, looking of the cause of death of the tree.
And probably two scientists studying about the moss found on the tree.
I agree because that they are looking very closely at the fallen tree.

I believe that two scientists are studying the moss found in the tree. Their analytic look towards the tree reveals what they are up to. I can also find the lack of instruments in order to study the moss.
