To paraphrase The Onion: clearly Villanova performed much better under FBI surveillance than Michigan in this game.

Congratulations Villan ova. Enjoy your victory as long as you can and hope that the NCAA does not take away your title a few years later as they did to University of Louisville after it won the title in 2013 fair and square.

Obviously the chronolog was written by someone who hasn’t watched much Villanova basketball (e.g., calling DVincenzo “revelatory”). And saying that Wagner and DeVincenzo “sadly” don’t have journeyman NBA careers ahead of them sounds like an ignorant and gratuitous Trump tweet. Wagner would be a terrific NBA prospect if he got some serious strength and conditioning this summer. He disappeared in the first half last night only because his early rampage exhausted him; in the second half, on tired legs, he lost his footwork and was pushed around by Paschall and Spellman. DiVincenzo is only a sophomore but he’s best athlete on the team (according to his teammates). If he stays healthy he’ll be a first-round pick in 2020, the same year Trump’s tweeting will end.

Congratulations, Villanova! Shades of Rollie Massimino!

Great tournament. Excellent efforts by many talented & hardworking young players. And the Men's tournament was also excellent. Heck of a run Blue. GO GREEN!

Why is it necessary to read to the end of the third paragraph to find the score?

Michigan did not seem to be very aerobically fit. The Wagner kid was gassed after 8 minutes had gone by. The DiVincenzo kid played hard for about 35 minutes without any sign of exhaustion. Jay Wright does indeed have it going on - no one and done's - just kids who want to play hard, share and win. It is good to see a program on the up and up having success.

They play like Loyola.
