Gotta keep evolving & updating the stage productions. Keep the audience engaged somehow other wise they would all fall asleep or start texting, tweeting, snap-chatting, facebooking fake news, taking selfies or just stop coming. Unfortunately, most of today’s audience lacks the sufficient attention span for a 2.5 hr Opera, less Wagner’s 6 hour epic Ring Cycle finale Götterdämmerung. Which Im personally excited to see back on stage next season. Please keep updating all stage productions .... engage the younger minds with the music, on-stage drama and soaring voices ....

This is not the first time a Coney Opera performer has performed in an operatic work. About 20 years ago, Joyce Castle, Steven Goldstein and (I think) Richard Byrne sang and performed a very entertaining text by Craig Lucas and set to music by Gerald Busby while a glass eater from Coney Island munched away on various prices of glass (to the clear horror of the singers). This took place in Weill Hall. It was an unforgettable night.
