The republican's presidents wall will be neither big nor beautiful, nor will it achieve the desired results. Unless, that is, the desired result is to line the pockets of some government contractors, insult Mexico, and make America look like a bunch of jerks in the eyes of the rest of the world. In which case, Mission Accomplished.

I thought California had laws about allowing toxic waste to enter the state?

Californians do care about preventing crime. We're against corruption, against using public money to line the pockets of the Trump family, and in favor of smart public policies that actually reduce crime and prevent recidivism. Viva job opportunities and innovation and viva California. I can't wait to see the creative signs saying "GET OUT of our great state, Don the Con."
What have we done (NYC)
This trip is a nice nod to traitor Nunes. Is the donald going to look at all the wonderful, beautiful tunnels the drug dealers and human smugglers have built into California.
That's what she said (USA)
He isn't coming to California--he's coming to Beverly Hills.............
Lacebark (Kansas city)
CA sued the Feds over the cost of illegal immigration and lost. CA residents voted to strip illegals of government benefits and lost. Illegals have now taken over the CA legislature and the governor. Private(CITIZENS)business owners have now been stripped of their rights to cooperate with ICE. Private citizens being stripped of their rights to help the state government harbor illegal aliens? GO SESSIONS! GO!

If I lived in Kansas City I might be envious too....

Oh, Toto, we're not in Pennsylvania anymore!

'' He is not planning to meet with any California leaders, or tour any part of the state outside that stretch along the border.'' Well that says it all, doesn't it ? A President of ALL of the United States visiting the 6th largest economy in the world and not meeting any leaders that are steering it ( or having produced it ) Of course, the first meeting is all about division. ( the wall )

On a recent drive through the Palm Springs area of California I was struck by how huge the divide is between the West coast and the prairie states. I stopped counting the wind mills in one California desert when I could see that it exceeded a thousand. Pete Wilson's stand against immigrants set the Republican Party back for decades to come, as will Trump's wherever a wall (literal or otherwise) is built.
That's what she said (USA)
Trump can't handle the real California. He'll view redecorating items for the border and then on to Beverly Hills. Yeah DC, come again when you get a real President.
The 1% (Covina)
How will it go? The Secret Service, an agency that is not politically leaning, will have to create mile wide buffer zones between this guy and the rest of us. On sure, there will be a few sycophants with bullhorns who got a $1.50 a day raise by the tax plan hustling a few street corners, but that man it hated 5 to 1. Good luck don the con.

All I can express is how proud I am of my home state. California stands as a beacon and a bulwark against the horrible policies and attitudes of the Trump administration.

A monumental waste of time and money! Our infrastructure was the envy of the world fifty years ago and now we've let it decay to a third world level. If American employers weren't so eager to take advantage of cheap, undocumented and easily intimidated labor, we wouldn't have a Mexican immigrant "problem."

The former president of Mexico Vincente Fox was a guest on Bill Maher's show a few weeks ago. When Maher introduced him, Mr. Fox came out on stage holding a sign saying "I arrived here by tunneling!!" He also said "Elect an opposition majority to Congress - so they can domesticate him (Trump)."
H. Clark (Long Island, NY)
Trump's visit to California should be a teachable moment for him. Now he will witness firsthand how millions of Americans feel about his misguided, Nationalist policies and how he is tearing this country apart. I hope it sinks in.
Caroline (Los Angeles)
The chaos president is not welcome here. What a ridiculous reason to organize a trip to California. He will not, however, ruin our state.
Lynn (New York)
So, Trump is visiting a Mesa in a state called California, a city called San Diego, another city called Los Angeles, because he wants to build a wall to protect us against an influx of .......?
Bar tennant (Seattle)
The democrat elite and movie stars live behind walls, have armed bodyguards and send their kids to private schools but they hate trump for trying to protect us, the little guy from illegal aliens who have no right to be here?
