the gun is fake. Do you see the cap,and oh the clip is painted, there is a small smear on the clip.It is the guns save lives protest
We infer that this is a western food store that is in Afghanistan that provides food for people fighting in the war. The little boy is waiting for his mum to finish work at the store. Our prior knowledge is if the there are people with guns and are wearing army uniform they are in a war. Our text evidence is that the food looks western and what we eat in Australia.

A man is holding his child's toy gun. you can see this is true because of the cap on the barrell
I infer that it is a group of pro gun men protesting that guns don kill, people kill
In the photo I see a group of pro gun advocates, we know this because of the man carrying a large riffle and because of the "Guns save lives" sticker on their jackets. This picture was published around the same time the Parkland school shooting happened so they must of just came from some sort of rally and decided to grab lunch at Subway.
Seemingly, a group of pro-gun people hang out in a subway, after what I assume was a rally of some sort.
The “guns saves lives” sticker makes me assume it was a rally, if it weren't for the stickers that picture is not something absurd, which is kind of sad, but we live in the “mass-shooting” age and guns are an everyday sight, especially in places with open carry.
In this picture, we see a man in a Subway carrying a large rifle (legally), and many of the surrounding men wearing orange stickers reading "guns save lives". These men are most likely exercising their right to openly carry a firearm considering the fact that no one seems to anxious to stop them. Clearly, this is not an unusual occurrence because nobody even bothers to look twice at the man with the gun even though there is a small child right next to him.
talking about the gun control news in america.I think these people are thinking that save life
the workkers are meking food at subway ffor their costomers and it is also very dangerous to take a gun to the public
we see a army or navy man in subway with a gun it looks like a riful. The guy looks like he is going hunting on the right and the guy in the left looks like he is going hunting with him.Thornton Middle School.Liliana and Kenia
there is a man with a weapon at subway and you never know if it has a gun safety because there is a gun in subway and there is a kid next to the gun and he can just press the trigger.
talking about the gun control news in america
talking about the gun control news in america. I think these people think that gun save life.
I believe this picture talking about the gun control news in america
First thought: no real, sure a scene of a movie! Second thought: U.S.A. madness! How a gun can establish peace in a democratic country? Have these people ever thinking about education? To offer to your child a respectable education in all levels (school, family and society) is the best and saved way to say “education save lives”….
based on my observations of this picture I think that these are people who believe that guns save lives. I'm trying to figure out why everyone else seems to be okay with these people casually caring guns in what seems to a fast food restaurant. it is also questionable why the child would be caring a gun also. I think these people probably just came from a protest on how guns don't cause violence.
I think this gut is trying to protect his kid by carrying a gun around.
Nothing too serious. The only ones who seem in a rush are the employees at the counter and the others are just lazily looking around. Just some Chicago gangsters casually robbing a Subway at 2:25 am(Clock on the wall). Apparently it’s nice to take their kid along. The kid isn’t too happy so they must have stayed up late.
I think this picture was talking about some people who support ‘Guns Save Life’ went to a shop with their guns. The things that make me say that is they are all wearing a sticker with ‘Guns Save Life’ on their clothes.
I think this scene happened in USA at one of the subway shops. The problem which is apparently appearing now is the gun problem. Do you think that guns should be banned or not? First guns can protect peoples' lives when they are in danger. But some people will use the guns to hurt others or even kill them. I think the federal government should add more rules , like who is appropriate to have a gun at home ...
There are a man with gun in supermarket,a little boy who is being pointed by a gun and a man who's jacket wrote "guns saves lives ".I think this picture shows the terrorism now thinks they are justice to harm people's lives. The two men represent the terrorism nowadays.
After seeing the picture, I thinks the photo is about some guys in a subway shop who are supporting guns becoming legal to take to the streets. The reason why I think the photo is about this is because that the people in the photo (not including the child) have a sticker which say “guns save lives” and there is also one guy holding a toy gun.I didn’t hope they can bring the gun to the street coz I think it’s dangerous.
In this picture, I see several people in a restaurant of some sort and they are wearing camo. Also, the people are wearing stickers that are about guns and have hunting guns on their shoulders. When I look at this picture it looks like the people are taking a stand about guns. They might be at a protest and taking a break and eating. This picture makes me feel like there are always two sides of a story. These people are either for or against guns. I can take a guess they are for guns because they have guns with them and are wearing camo.
This image depicts multiple people standing in line at a restaurant, which i can infer is a Subway. The people inside, are all wearing winter clothing, such as thick jackets, hats, and gloves. There is a poster in the background that seems to be advertising some sort of food. The man in the center of the image is carrying a firearm, which leads me to believe that he is in a rural area, or a place where carrying guns is legal. The men around him are wearing orange sticker like badges, that say “Guns Save Lives.” Which would explain why the people are unphased by the presence of the gun.
After viewing this image, it looks to be a Subway store with multiple people in it. What stands out to me is the man in the center of the image wearing a camo hat, and a black trench coat with a machine gun hanging behind him. The other people in the Subway restaurant seem to be unaware or unconcerned about the man with a gun. The people may be unconcerned because they could be supporting or representing the right to bear arms or a pro-gun movement. I think the Subway could be a sponsor of this movement and are feeding the groups of people in the movement. I believe this because of the man with a assault rifle around his back while around a group of people in a subway.
Another thing that I noticed in this image is the orange badge people are wearing on their chests. From what I can see the badge says ¨SAVE¨, which makes me think that this could also be an anti-gun movement because the word ¨Save¨ I think seems to be more anti-gun. This makes me very confused because the gun around the mans back represents pro-gun, but the orange badge represents anti-gun.
I like your idea that the Subway could possibly be a sponsor of a movement, as it is something I had not thought of, but it does make sense. It also correlates to why the man would carry a gun into the restaurant, and not be asked by the employees to leave the building and such.
this picture looks like inside of a restaurant. they are carrying propaganda on their coats in support of owning guns. the writing on the orange paper sticker says* guns SAVE lives.* that’s why one man has a gun on is back in restaurant. maybe that man who carries the gun is that boy’s father. who is protecting himself and his son.
A terrorist is watching people at the supermarket
They are taking part in a costumes party.
They are buying a sandwich.
He is a military getting a snack with his child.
They are waiting in the line to buy food.
He is selling the meat of his hunt to the market.
He is a bouncer taking care of the son of a prominent person.
In this picture I see a man with maybe an AR-15 with a little boy standing by his side. I also see that it appears to be very busy in the subway they are in. There's also an intricate detail that shows a pin or sticker that says “Guns save lives”. From all the details in this photo it makes me think that they are in a gun protest and stopping for a bite to eat maybe during or after the protest, and that's why the subways so busy. After reading the caption and article that describes this photo it states that it was a protest but, they were also celebrating the law of open carry. This photo makes me feel humble that there seems to be no harm done to anyone during the protest and celebration.
Actually the rifle is of a Kalashnikov rather than an armalite

NRA activists get some subway sandwiches for lunch after a rally. Nobody seems to care that there is a man with a loaded rifle in a public place. Welcome to America.
Gun rights activists eat lunch at a supportive Subway franchise in downtown Austin after the rally in front of a state capital in honor of gun laws.
The picture seems to show pro gun supporters in a Subway. The reason I think this is since the men are wearing "Guns Save Lives." Stickers, not to mention the fact that the man on the left has a gun. My indication is that this must be in the U.S not only because of the recent heated discussions about gun control in American society, but also from the obvious clues in the photo. In the photo we see one boy wearing a New York sweatshirt, and another person wearing what appears to be an American Flag hat. My reasoning as to why i believe this is a Subway, or at least a sandwich store is from the employees wearing a uniform and making what appears to be sub sandwiches.
In this picture theres a man with a gun around him and a little boy looking at it with a interested face. Now there are other men with a badge on his shirt that says "guns save lives". Makes one think they were just protesting that guns are okay and should be allowed. They probably got hungry after protesting and went to go eat at a sandwich stop .
In this picture i see a man with a gun gun on his back with a kid beside him. This gun was to close to the little boys head this is not safe for him or anybody in there. This shows that the community is not safe anywhere.
Actually the man has a wadded up piece of paper used as a chamber flag i agree that it could be brighter and more visible
1
In this picture there are men wearing shirts that read "guns save lives," the man's gun seemed to be properly contained however in the picture it is close to a little boys head. This symbolizes the threat that guns have on our society.
In this photo, there is a group of men, who appear to be armed, wearing "Guns Save Lives" buttons on their shirts in a sandwich shop. This probably takes place somewhere in America considering, the second amendment is "the right to bear arms". I also see a little boy standing right next to the gun on the mans back looking slightly confused.
In this foto we see a man in a subway with a gun on his back and a child next to him to looks the chips without being impressed the gun!!Is something that common, something that has been seen before. This is something terrible!!Alas if our children grow up in a world where “guns save lives “
1
I see a lot of People waitting in the Line of a Subway to buy something for launch. One Man it has a gun on his back and two others are having stickers on the jackets saying "Guns save lives". What makes me impression is the kind that seems to be familiar with the gun probably and unfortunately it has grown up with them!! And after that we are wondering why there is violence in the word!!
1
I think that they a re in sub way and that they are looking for someone or they are armed because their is somebody in the building that is not supposed to be their or they can also be detectives and their on a case or something like that but it looks like he is ready for a battle.
apparently there are many people inside a food store, some of these people are ordering and other people are talking to each other, there is something curious since a man is carrying a gun inside the store and all the people act normal, and the The person who carries the weapon in the same way is quiet talking with another person, but something very curious is that the child observes something, it is not the weapon, because apparently the child is a little behind and does not manage to observe, but something I call your attention to the other side of the bar.
I see a man with a gun in his back in s subway. He is probably a guard that work there and he is just trying to keep the place safe. There is another man it looks like that he is holding a kid probably his son. He is trying to grab the chips, but his dad is not letting him.
I think that the man with the gun is protecting him self if there is any harm around him.The man in the picture look the he either bought the gun or he is part of the army. But why would this man be carrying his gun around in public and the people around him the mighty be scared.
There's a guy with a gun hanging in his back. I think he is carrying a AK47 because to protect his son which is next to him. He carries it because theres alot of people that are shooting places. He is on a subway trying to buy food for his son because they might go on a camping trip or he might be a soldier.u[]
in the picture there is a guy and he has a assault rifle on his back in a publice restruant. in the restruant there are mutiple people but there are two people that stick out and those people are the ones that are wearing dark and camo like cloths. i think this is texas because texas you can hold a weapon out in the open and these two are getting something to eat and the kid, i don't know if hes with them or hes just looking at the food.-
In this picture i see a guy with a gun and the is in subway but i know he's not going to do nothing bad because the guy next to him has a sticker on his shirt that says guns saves lives.People that are next to him dont care because they know why he has it and they probably saw the sticker on the guys shirt that says guns saves lives.
The men with the gun i think he is a hunter. when hunters hunt they buy sandwiches. In the sticker it says that guns save lives. I think it is in texas.
I see that they have guns and there in subway. Also they have something on them. Also it say some thing on them that save pepole.
I think that the men is in Texes because a men has a cowboys hat. I say this because in Texes you could have guns and because there have a sticker that says gun save lives. I say that all the people have the sticker that say guns save life.
probli its a grup that is saving livs. If a crazy or drunk prsun they will point
- I think the man with the gun is just buying food.
- I say that because he is at a sandwich shop and just getting food with his son.
-I also think think the worked there before he joined the army and just went to say hello.
It looks to me that there at a sandwich place like subway . People ordering their food then you a man waiting in line with a AK-47 on his back . There is a little kid with him and it seems like it can be his son . They may have went on those father and son trips or went hunting . But it looks like the man here is not finished hunting . i think this because if he was hunting he would have left all his guns or anything in his car or truck . Who would bring a AK-47 into a sandwich place . It looks like it does not concern the people in there or even notice the gun .
1.I can see that they might be protesting.
2.The people that are in this picture are wearing a badge that has the words gun saves lives.
3.I can see that the people in the back look scared because of the gun.
i see a man with a gun on his back standing next to his family or friends and i think the reason why he carries a gun with him is because maybe he is trying to protest because of people trying to make it so guns cant be carried by people. Or maybe he is just proud that he can keep a gun on him because that is his right. but what i don't understand is why people have no reaction to it
it this picture theres a crowd of people inside what looks like a local subway and there is a man who has a gun on his back maybe he could be an officer or someone who helps out the community and he is there for a reason maybe there could be terrorist near by and he is there to defend his people
1. What I see here is three people in Subway because Subway has buns and the lady is cutting a bun to half. Also if you see the three people they half a sticker on there chest it says guns safe lives so maybe thats why the people have a gun. My last reason is that this place is taking in Canada because of there cloth and it is cold maybe thats why they are wearing a benny.
I think that there in SUB WAY . I think this because in SUB WAY you get to pick the toppings you wants in your food. I also think that these men are gun supporters . Because based on what I see they have a sticker that says guns save lives. The little kid was probably hungry so he asked his father so buy him a sandwhich. I think all of this because of what I see in the pictures.
i can see that this is taking place at a subway. I see that people have stickers attached to there chest and it says saved. Maybe the guy is carrying a gun because he went somewhere or is trying to keep the place safe because there are a lot of people at subway . Something else i see is the gun is pointing to the little child .
.So I think they are at New York since it is usually cold and snowing also since they are wearing warm cloths . Also they are suporting guns since they have a badge and a gun. Also their is a man looking at them if they are doing something bad. Also the are at the u.s at subway since their are long sandwiches olso the sings are in english.
1. In this picture, there is a man carry a gun. There are three man using a little stickers in there chests and it says that guns save lives.
2.This picture takes place in Texas,or Alabamba. And this picture make me say that this is crazy because in California, the police sees you with a gun, they will beat you down.
3.I can find more is that little white boy looks scare. I can't belive that nobody have notice that gun. Everybody in the sandwich store seems calm because nobody is freaking out.
what i see is i see this guy with a gun. Also the guy with the gun has a kid and i think they are in a subway.I can see the stickers in the three people wearing stickers that say Guns Save Lives.I think they are from another city or state. But i think that they are not in the us because i don't think people let other people have free guns out in the us.I think they are in Canada because of the jackets all the people are wearing or sweaters.
In this picture is a a man with a gun that probably went hunting with one of his friends and with his son. What makes me think that he went out to go hunting is because he is wearing things that makes him look camo. Then, i saw that he was in a store where they sell sandwiches. But the thing that i don't understand is that why would he take his gun inside the store with him. Everyone surrounding him look like they dont mind someone having a gun that can probably shoot.
i think whats happening in this picture is there are somewhere in Texas or new york city because the man has a blue New York city sweater and the guy next to the kid as a cowboy hat. The sticker they have says Guns Save Lives, so the city lets people have gun. inn or around hem. If the man was doing something bad then everyone would be scared but because no one looked scared then i thought or saw the sticker it said gun save live i knew why they didn't get scared.
.there are three men that are gun supporters and one of them has a gun that looks like an a k47 and in Texas
.i see a group of men with guns and inside of an subway and maybe hunting
.i can also see that the man went to get some thing to eat before going hunting with his son and friends
My thoughts on this picture is that it look like if there is a security guard with a gun in a fast food restaurant. There is a kid just looking at it and the gun plus the gun is fully loaded. In they opinion i feel like there shouldn't be people walking around with guns unless they are a type of law enforcement.
not fully loaded there is not a round in the chamber the gun is perfectly safe at his point in time
I think that the people are in a subway because on a sign it says subway. The people are in America because everything is in english. The person with the gun is not going to do anything bad because the other person wearing green has a sticker that says guns save lives.
To me this pekser it is photoshop
i think that they are supporting guns in every restaurant.i say this because two people have stickers that say guns saves lives and bye the worker you can see theres a sticker in the case so i think there giving out those stickers to support guns.I also think its very cold there because i see that people are wering benis and sweaters.
I think is going on this picture that a guy has a gun behind him.
It makes me say that because That guy might be a hunter.
I could also find that place might be Texas because the words in the back ground.
1. Their all from Texas.
2. The man with a gun is in a club like the rest of the people with the sticker.
3. The people are in line to get food.
I think that the guy with a fully loaded gun on his back is a gaurd or a police officer. They are probably in a different country because our police don't use machine guns like that. Also you can't walk into a store or restaurant with a fully loaded machine gun on your back. They might have been hunting or patrolling the area And if he is a pedestrian everyone around him seems to be oblivious to the gun on his back. He looks like he is at Subway or something like that
not a machine gun
1
In this picture i think that a war happend. I think that because the man has a gun and some people have a sticker that says guns save lives. I also think that the kid next to the man lost his parents during the war and then the man with the gun is taking care of the kid.
1. I think that the people are from Texas and they're at subway.
2.Why I think they're at Texas because of the gun and of the hat.
3.Also why there at subway because of the chips and because the lettering behind the in the green jacket.
I think in the picture that the guy is the dad and the little boy is his son and the guy on the right is the worker or brother and they. are getting subway to get their time out and they are relaxing and enjoying their day. the guy with the gun keeps it on him probably because he wants to protect his family and friends.
I think that this picture shows this guy carrying a gun for protection because i see that in other guy to the right he has a sticker and it says save life i can't really read it but that's what i see i feel like they are in subway or somewhere where they make sandwiches i feel like these people were at an event and now they are getting something to eat I feel like they think all those people think that guns save life because it shows people wearing stickers but what i don't know is that why don't people see that that guy has a gun on him it is a very rare thing.
I believe that there is some sort of meeting with gun activists or a meeting to discuss laws and management about the safety/use of guns, and the people within this meeting are gun activists meeting in a subway.
Looking at this photo, I can see that this is a pro gun protest. Two grown men have bright orange stickers that say "Guns save lives." The people in the picture don't look frightened or scared. There is also a man with a riffle strapped to his chest. I think that this is a group of men and women who brought their children along with them to protest. They brought their children to symbolize how their guns will help save the lives of children and protect gun violence against people.
In this picture it looks like people are in a sandwich stop and their are people that are ordering food and people waiting in the line. their is also a man wearing a gun around him. He also has a camo hat on. The guy standing next to him has a kid close so i am think that they are friends and they are going to go somewhere that would need a gun.
I think that they are from Texas because the guy on the right is wearing a beanie under his hat.
I also thing that they are gun supporters because they all have a badge saying guns save lives.
I also see a man in the back just staring at them in a wired way. It seems like he thinks to know him.
1. i think they are soliders and they are getting lunch.
2. also they got a prize to get free lunch.
3. that make me say that because there some where so they could get lunch.
1 what is going on this picture is that they are saving kid lives that is why they are using guns.
2 what it makes me said that is that in the sticker that it says guns saves lives.
3 I also can find that that they ar
1. These people are In Subway and are wearing some stickers that say Guns Save Lives, they are possibly trying to tell people that we should be aloud to go around using guns 2. I think they are in Subway because there are sandwiches everywhere and I think they they might be supporting guns 3. I also see a guy wearing a Cow Boys hat, so maybe they are somewhere around Texas, also because In Texas there are many guns
I see gun supports because of the stickers on the coats of some people. One of the men has a gun that is my reason. I also think they are in Texas because guns are leagul there and every letter is in America.
this picture i see a bunch of men and a couple of ladys in a restaurant. I think this is at subway, because of how it is set up and that the workers are wearing green. On a couple of men's outfits there is a sticker and i think it says "guns save lives". I also think that they are promoting guns being a defense weapon rather than a killing weapon. Lastly, there is a man with a gun strapped on his back with a rolled up paper where the bullets passes through when it is fired.
Thoughts from my 6th grade students:
In this picture I see a man who just went hunting with his son, and his friend. I think that because one of the men have a gun and he is wearing camoflauge. I also think that they are stopping at a sandwhich shop to get something to eat. Somethings I don’t understand about this photo are the fact that nobody is noticing a gun on his back, and thats why I think that he isn’t going to do anything dangerous. The second thing is, if he was going hunting, wouldn’t he leave everything in his car? It doesn’t make sense to bring a gun into a sandwich shop. (Aleena)
They are stopping for lunch after they went to a gun protest. they are wearing stickers that say guns save lives and he is carrying a gun. He brought his child to the protest and then to get food. (Jace)
I first looked at this picture and subconsciously immediately thought of Russia, sadly. But then through more observations, I came to the conclusion that this picture was taken in America. I could be completely off or I could be spot on, who knows. For a hot minute, I considered that it might have been taken in Canada but it turns out that guns aren’t legal in Canada, so that was taken out of my picture description. It is not in a southern state of America or a southern country because of the hats and winter like coats. The man with the gun appears that he is wearing what looks like a suit coat type of jacket so they aren’t going on a hunting trip although he looks like he is wearing a hunting hat. The clock in the background is stopped at 1:25 pm. It looks as if this was taken at a fast food stop like subway or it could be in a gas station, some sort of store like that. There is a girl in line wearing a shirt that says York then below it you can see the letters ty. This makes me think that she is wearing a New York City sweater furthering my reasoning for being in America. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it is America but it helps towards my case. The people are wearing little red circles pinned to their jackets that say “GUns save lives.” This makes me think that they could be apart of the NRA.
Great observations in this picture! I agree with you that this picture has been taken in America because of what you had found, the ladies sweater and the winter coats people are wearing. I also agree with you that these people could be apart of the NRA because of the orange circles on people chests.
I think that this is in Alabama or Texas because of the cowboy hats and the "Guns Save Lives" stickers on their coats. I know that Texas has had rallies and such in the past on that subject so, maybe they were protesting outside and came in to get something to eat.
Looking at this photo, I can see that this is a pro gun protest. Two grown men have bright orange stickers that say "Guns save lives." There is also a man with a assault riffle strapped to his chest. I think that this is a group of men and women who brought their children along with them to protest. They brought their children to symbolize how their guns will help save the lives of children.
I really like how you thought of how the child could symbolize towards their benefits in what could be a protest. Awesome thoughts.
In this picture you can clearly see that the gun that the man has is totally real. It i'll be really stupid for people to think that the gun is a toy gun I mean cause look at the magazine on it you can clearly see real bullets in the magazine. I only have one question for this picture and that is why is no one startled by the man with the gun.
2
In this picture, I think that this is a bunch of people armed at a Subway. I think this is taking place in Texas because in Texas you have the right to carry a weapon with you, even in public. But they have to be licensed to bare arm. Or another thing that is happening is that it's just a man that went to go hunt, and after he finished hunting he went to go buy a Subway.
1
I see people with a sticker on their shirts that says,"Guns saves lives" and then i see a man strapped with an assault rifle. I think the people are either protesters with guns and they are going into subway to grab something to eat. I say this because the place is packed with alot of people wearing jackets trying to get something to eat.
1
In this case the picture is taking place in subway. I really don't know what is going on there could be lots of reasons like a security guard, terrorist. I see people with stickers on there chest that say save which could mean that they can't be touch. I feel bad for that child because the gun is aimed right at his stomach.
1
this seems to be that this guy is from another country and walked into subway with his gun thinking its the same as the country hes from where they carry guns and the two people on the right of him have a safe sticker on them are maybe trying to kick him out. I also think that this a social experiment for what people would do if someone where to carry a gun in public and what reactions would be
1
I think that the man that walked into subway is a type of guy that would like to help out the community by carrying out a gun around with him to help out wherever there is danger. He is wanting to help out the pubic so around his neighborhood it is save without there being no violence. People showing guns is a good sign because of someone that wants to attack or whatever want attack because they know somewhere around them has protect to fight back.
1
We think that its a a pro gun campaign because of the people with the guns in the restaurant and the stickers on their shirt that say "guns save lives." The people around them don't look worried so maybe it's normal, in that part of the united states. Maybe it's in some part of the world were guns are legal. Although I am led to believe that it is in the United States because the stickers on their shirts are in english.
I agree with your observation. I also think that this might be somewhere in the south like Texas or Alabama because of the cowboy hats.
In this picture i see a bunch of men and a couple of ladys in a restaurant.
1
In this picture it seems that this parent walked into subway with his kid and he was carrying a gun and it not normal that somebody would carry a gun into subway with them they probably thought that this guy was an intruder that was going to shoot up subway and these 2 guys with the save sticker are trying to kick him out or tell him why he has his gun with him
1
I have a lot of questions. Is this a toy gun or real gun? If real, is the man with it intending to use it for offensive or defensive use? Is he a hunter, a security guard, a soldier?? What's the man's relationship to the child -- are they connected?
What kind of question is that is it a toy or real gun. That is a very real gun.
1
In the picture I see that a man has a gun strapped to his back. I believe that the man is living in a sate that has already passed a law to permit gun use. he is also getting a sub at a place that is probably New York. I can tell that it might be in New York because someone has a new york sweater on. I also see that the parents of the children at the place are fine with it.
1
in this picture i can see a man holding a gun behind his back. the people around him just keep going on their day as if this is normal. everyone seems calm except the little boy who is right next to the gun. the boy kind of looks uncomfortable being next to a gun. he keeps looking down because does not want to be looking at the gun. then his eyes look like that he is about to cry being next to a gun.
1
This picture is showing people in a subway and a man with a gun and a kid with him. What going on in the picture is a man with a kid in line in subway and the kid kind of looks scared. But then it makes me feel probably he is looking what he want to get. WHat makes me think that is because their is a mine in like with a gun on his back, and a little kid holding his hand while the man is talking to a man. The place the looks like subway because the way its decoreded and how they have the same bread that subway uses to make sandwich.

i think these people are protesting to have guns. They might want to keep guns an others might think that guns are a harm. Some people are against guns saying that guns can hurt more people. Others think that they help you protect yourself for example if you own a store and you are getting robbed you might want to have a gun in handy to you it in order to save your life. So that is why i think think this picture is showing that the people who have the badges are saying that we should keep guns that is why the other people are not telling the guy with the gun anything.
In the picture it shows a subway restaurant filled with people , to me i think there was a gun show and people bought some guns and they were trying to convince people guns aren't bad its the people behind the gun and stuff. Like this could be why they're giving out "guns save lives" stickers saving they will protect you and stuff , and there's a subway next door so the people are going after to eat

in today picture is showing a irresponsible man that it wearing a gun in from of a little kid , around them it a copple of people and two of them have a lithe orange thing saying " guns save live " and they are in subway .
In this picture it shows that those people are on a Subway. This man is having a gun on his back and it's pointing at the little kid.
In this picture there is a man with a gun on Subway, and there is a kid staring at the gun and he looks scared. The man is standing up for his rights of owning a gun, trying to support the idea "guns save lives".
The picture is showing that guns are already allowed. I said this because the man have a gun in front of the kids and nobody is saying anything. And because 2 mens are wearing a postcard saying that guns save lives.
In the picture I see that they are Americans in a subway and the man is having a gun in his back with a kid almost taking it. I see that the kid want the chips.
In today's picture A men is in a crowded place with a gun and they have a little kid with him. " Man is not from a army, no other soldiers button" It shows that maybe he is a Save life because one of the man have a logo that says "Guns Save Life".
In today's picture, is a man with a gun. the man have a button that has " guns save lives" it start in the USA because they are English words and is in a subway.
They're telling him he's wrong with carrying his gun into a store. They're there because of gun problems. He's hiding the gun.
In today's picture, there is two man with a orange tag saying "Guns save lives". people are agree to have guns because of the orange tag. the in the state their are in allows guns. people are not saying anything about the man with the gun and the kid next to him. The man is not from the army.
in today's picture i see people with pins that say guns save lives.there is a guy with a gun on its back and nobody cares that he has a gun like the guy with the kid.
So in this picture there are white men surrounded by people which seems like a crowded place. Everyone had an orange badge on that says”Guns Save Lives”. There’s this one man in particular who has a gun strapped to his back. I think he has a gun to make a point. He is showing that he is protected and that guns are needed. The child next to him looks like he’s staring at the gun but in my opinion he is staring at the snacks .
3
I totally agree with you, the kid is staring at the snacks and it seems like a he doesn't care about the gun.
We liked this because you noticed the child is not in danger and isn't staring at the gun but is staring at the snacks. Some of us agree with the idea that guns are needed, and some of us disagree.
the guns save live that not true . because gun can't be danger to the little boys .no body look the gun is dnger for that boy and this phone look like is NY .thre restauran u can't be gun and be denger for that people .
It looks like the man is in subway on the lookout for someone and their using the child to find the person. They have weapons just incase the target is armed and they look like undercover cops. They look like they are their because something probably happened the day before and they are there just incase it happens again.
In this picture there is a man at a local subway and with some other men they have badges that say “ Guns save lives” . The man has possession of a firearm and everyone in the subway is okay with it he is saying basically that the reason he has a gun on him is because he can save lives with it.
I see a man holding a assault rifle. and three man with a sticker "Guns Save Lifes". i think they are protesting about the protection in the country.
They was at Subway and the man with the gun on his back an his son, and the man son was looking around. While the little boy is just look at the chips. The man without the gun is wearing a badge that say “GUNS SAVE LIVES”. It also look like they where on a lookout for someone.
I believe whats going on is that they are protesting “guns saves lives”
A man is standing in a subway line with a m16 automatic machine
Gun waiting to order his sub with a little kid looks about 6 or 7
Years old with other men standing around them with stickers on
Their chest saying “guns saves lives”
It looks like his in a subway with a gun and it doesn’t really like his really trying to hide it. What I think is goings on is that there trying to show that guns are ok. I also see that there all wearing badges that say “guns save lives.” I also see that the man with the gun look like his protecting the little boy so that might be his son maybe. I also see that there’s no girls there only the one who are working there.
in today's picture I see a little boy next to the men give gun. The kid wants food. white people in the restaurant.
In today's pictures I see a man with a gun close to a kid and I think that very dangerous. Because the gun can shut on the kid and kill him, but they look like its normal to have a gun in that country and they are wearing a paper that said ''Guns save Lives''. They used to defense them-self.
In today's picture, I see 3 workers preparing food. It take places in the USA on a subway. I see a kid next to the gun. And I think they are agree with people have gun.
I respectfully disagree with you because i think they are not agree of people having guns. I think they are just looking to see if anybody have a problem so they can save them of a situation.
in today's picture this picture take place in the US at a subway restaurant where the people that are in favor of the use of the guns. My evidence is the white people in restaurant. The one people has guns. The little boys next to the gun. People preparing food- subway. The kid wants food.
In today's picture we see people with gun in the restaurant and a liter boy next to the gun . Notice" Guns save live " they are in favor that people have gun in the USA . they are bag of Doritos.
Section 41 Boston Latin School Grade 8 US History Class Lambda Cluster noticed the "Guns Save Lives" pins or stickers and thought it might be some sort of a gun rally where people have taken a break to get food at a sandwich place like Subway. We also talked about the strangeness of the fact that no one seemed concerned about the presence of the gun. Students noted that the timing of this image seems intentional on the part of the NYT given the recent national conversation about guns. We thought it might be a metaphor for gun violence and the fact that people weren't reacting to the gun symbolizes the fact that we don't pay enough attention to guns, and the proximity of the child signifies that our failure to pay attention places the vulnerable at increased risk.
In this picture there is a little boy right between two men that seem to either work in the military or have retired. they were probably hungry and went to Subway to eat. It is easy to tell that it is Subway because how the background looks and the workers uniform.
Hopefully he doesn't have a bullet in the chamber, it doesn't appear that the safety is engaged.
Looking at this firearm a little closer, it appears to have a rolled up piece of paper stuck in its bolt slide, which would keep the firing pin away from the primer cap, thus acting as a makeshift safety. This leads me to suspect that he's carrying around a loaded rifle that doesn't have an operational safety. Kalashnikov rifles are notoriously crude, albeit reliable, and if this individual deems it necessary to carry a loaded weapon into a crowded public space, you would think he'd want one with an operational safety. If I was this boys father, I'd be a little more concerned with the muzzle of that gun pointing at my kids head, than wearing a stupid sticker. As someone who has grown up with guns and enjoys hunting and target shooting, I'm utterly dismayed with these people. In my experience, the folks who perform these displays of second amendment fundamentalism are usually not hunters, and usually, are not very knowledgeable about guns. They purchase guns because they can, it's their right. The fact that they perform stunts like this indicates that they're really not gun "enthusiasts", but are merely goons that don't understand the concept of what it means to be responsible gun owner.
I really like your sentences.
This picture takes place in the US at a Subway restaurant where people that are in favor of the use of guns are taking their firearms to public places to show people that they should not be afraid of guns. I say this because I can see many of them wearing an orange sticker that says "Guns Save Lives" and I can see workers wearing a Subway uniform and the restaurant has the same components of a regular Subway restaurant. I also see that behind the people that have the guns there are some minors ordering sandwiches and one of the children in the picture is standing REALLY close to the gun which makes me feel uneasy.
Can you explaining mare
Im agree with you.
i agree with you is good information
We believe everybody in this picture agrees with free gun laws (because of the sticker and the man with the longer gun in public). People in the picture are not really concerned about the gun, especially the kid. He's paying attention to the chips instead of the enormous gun right in front of him. We think this takes place in Texas. Why does this guy have such an enormous gun in a sandwich shop?
I see 3 workers preparing food for their big crowd waiting to be served. It is a subway located in Texas maybe because of the way the men are dressed. I don't find right that one of the men are wearing a gun where there is people like the kid right behind the guy with the gun. The men might be in an event because of the sticker "Guns Save Lives" they have on their jackets.
1
I agree with you because I don't find right that one of the men have a gun.
The restaurant is crowded with people including the young and bags of snacks are displayed in there. Some adult men are wearing 'Guns Save Lives' on their chests, waiting in line to order something to eat. It seems like they are trying to promote the rights of the possession of guns to save the lives. But unintentionally guns don't look safe , especially because of the man wearing the big gun on his back next to the young kid.
I man holding a gun.
We see two men that have stickers that say “Guns save lives”.
We see a kid. This appears to be in a Subway sandwich shop (we see the logo). Perhaps it is in Texas, because a man is wearing a cowboy hat. These people may be participating in a pro-gun rally.
I agree with you because they have a logo the says " Guns save lives" so maybe they are just checking in to see if someone have a trouble.
It appears a man has a large rifle strapped onto his back and is in a Subway. There is a lot of people and they are all wearing hats, coats, etc. so it is probably winter wherever they are. I also notice the young boy looking at the chips with what appears to be his father or some older male family member. I feel as if this picture is trying to convey a message about gun violence/ usage in America. I feel like this is also somewhere more southern such as Tennessee, Alabama, The Carolinas, etc. based off of the camo hat.
I See That The Man Has A Gun And He Wants Just Wants To Eat Some Yummy ChickenNuggets. The Little Boy Looks Hungry And Wants Chips.
1
I agree with you because the kid is lloking at the chips not at the gun
yes the boy is hungry but they no have be becarfo
1
I think the man who has the gun is a father who want to protect his son. There are so many terrorists that this father even take the gun when they go to have a lunch.
the boys got hungry on the way back from hunting.
The Gun Saves Lives organization is trying to keep the society in peace.
People were on a hunting trip and got humgry and decided to stop at a subway for lunch.
in the picture I see one man carrying a big modified gun.the man walks in the store that is on the subway he walks with the gun on his back.
1. Policemen are in a fast food restaurant waiting for something.
2. That they are in their rest and went to eat
3. That maybe they are in a school and they have a problem with something and they are hay to solve it.
1. people are holding food.
2. there are people doing sandwiches
3. I see a person with a gun.
I agree with you because I sea the semething
In the picture, I see old man carrying a big gun, which is AK-47, he put it on his back and walk with it in the streets. there is a little boy he looking at the chips and he doesn't care about the gun because i think it will be scary for a little kid to see a gun it aiming on him but he doesn't care and he keep thinking about the food.
Judah states: It appears to be a Subway restaurant and the man is obviously expressing his 2nd amendment rights. Ryan agrees with Judah, but he disagrees with Jeremiah that they are going hunting. The gun doesn’t appear to be a hunting rifle. However, it does look like a Subway restaurant.
Jeremiah states: They, a group of hunters in Virginia, are probably getting something to eat and then return to hunting.
Maria stated concern that the gun was pointed at the little boy.
Jamersin agrees with both Jeremiah and Judah that they have a right to bear arms, but will hunt a specific animal such as a coyote or deer.
1
This is an act of protest against banning guns. This is because the other people in the picture are wearing stickers that say Guns Save Lives. Also, there is a man wearing a gun, obviously. But there is a piece of paper in the chamber, preventing it from shooting it. They are also at a Subway at 2:25 most likely P.M.

I can see a person who has a gun and the children maybe wants to eat some chips like all kids , maybe his dad is hunter , nut i think they are too hungry because 3 workers are making foods but i think is like outside of united states because they barely have chips and food . its too cold In there .
In the picture, I see one man carrying a big, modified gun. The gun has an extended clip which means that more ammo can fit in the magazine. There are two men wearing a sticker, and I would assume that the man with the weapon also would have the sticker supporting guns. There's people buying food, wearing heavy clothes and they don't seem to carry the gun. I also think they are somewhere in America, maybe in New York because the article is from the New York Times. The weapon is a AK-47 which is controversial.
i see someone looking for a militia to join. I also see an incredibly insecure, deranged individual who needs to walk around with a gun.
I hope he finds his militia, so that he will have friends to play with.
In the week's picture we can see many people in te restaurant, specifically in Subway. People are waiting for their order while the workers prepare it. In the line pass an interesting thing: A men is carrying a big weapon in front of a child and child's grandfather is like don't happen anything, the bad reality.
Image represents a group of mostly white male humans. One of them carries a gun on the back, he probably thinks he is protecting his Christian values from infidels.
After looking this photo , i will not think this situation will happen in my country (GREECE) , to go to a fast food restaurant to see people with guns on their back .In Greece you are not allowed to use guns in publik. int this picture we a man how has a gun on his back , the other two men are his friends who promote that guns dont kill, and the same moment i see a child how dosn't feel afraid or anything like that , and he is looking for something to eat . I believe that , most of the people in a UD don't want a gun in general because there are onther ways to solve their ''problems''
1
I think that proud gun owners are protesting against gun control that what to keep the second amendment with stickers and that they are hungry and what a sandwich at subway.
I think that they are celebrating a gun passing law to carry guns got passed and they brought their guns to help show their country to be safe and do the right thing.
i think the men is using the gun just to make sere noting go rung and the little boy is looking at the chipes and cant wayte to eat and the boy saw the men with the gun and he mint run away from hime and the men didint mene to scere hime.
Ah Subway....... the place wear everyone likes to go. Although, people are going to stop eating here once they see this on the news. A German Soldier just rolls up in the place like he owns it and put the little boy in shock due to what his gun looks like. The Subway workers are American so they are acting like they don't see him so hopefully he will go away. This is during a future world war against Germany again.
mabe the boy wonts all of the chips and eat it or he wonts the gun.1:
In the picture there is a man with a gun. He, and a few others are protesting new gun bills. By being in a public place, they are showing people that the gun don't kill people. They are trying to say that only the people using guns the wrong way are the issue.
This family was hungry after going hunting so they went to subway. They went there and it was packed so they took their gun in there just in case anything went wrong. As you can see they had to wait so they started talking.
The man wanted to take his gun out in public , because he does not feel safe after hearing about the recent shootings.
In this picture, there is a man in what looks like a subaway. The subway seems to be crowded with people which isn't normal. There is a man with a loaded rifle which our second amendment lets us have the right to bear arms. He is practicing his amendments as he is licensed to carry a weapon.
my analysis of the visial text is that both of the guys are showing that guns save lives by wearing the guns. I support my analysis with evidence such as the both guys are wearing stickers that say guns save life. E.M #112
My analysis of th visual text is that the man is with is son and his group of friends waiting in a line in subway. Also that they are apart of shooting game or something because some of then have a sticker on them. I support my analysis with evidence such as how calm every body is in subway with some guy with a gun, also they are in public where people can see him with a gun.
My analysis is that man is tryna show people that guns save lives I support my analysis with evidence such as there are two other men that have a sticker that says guns save lives.-J.Rm112
My analysis is that the guy with the assault rifle may be a terrorist and he looks like he is going to kill everyone around him and the kid is looking at the gun but doesn't tell his dad about the gun and it looks like this is all happening at a random Subway in the United States of America and the reason why he is a terrorist to me is because in my opinion, he is in degiused
I think this man has a gun because he is some kind of millitary or army. He is probably scared to leave his house without protection . People are horrble these daye so he might not want anything to happen
My Analysis of the visual text is the guys are trying to prove that guns can not only take lives but also could save lives so that's why safe.I support my analysis with because the people are tags that say guns saves lives.
The boy really want some chips I can tell because he look hungry .And the man had a gun because so they know he is a gun man and he like guns I. And he really want to eat that with his daddy. And it look like he love eating .
Three men and a kid are getting ready to go hunting. They have stopped by a fast food place to get lunch.
i think that these people are hunters and they are going to subway because they are hungry
the man had a gun at the store and the kid strtede to look at the gun and strtede to play with the gun.and thin the boy looked at the chis agin.
At a Subway in West Virginia, the S.W.AT. team is doing a search. The by-standers are not aware of the search. The little kid is scared that his father, the one holding his hand, will get taken.
In this picture, a man is taking his son to get subway for dinner after a long day of deer hunting. He is wearing his favorite camo beanie. Nobody is afraid of him, because they know that the man is probably just a hunter.
My analysis of the visual text is that maybe the guy who has the gun maybe in the army or maybe he might be part of the S.W.A.T team. I support my analysis with evidence such as by looking at the picture and seeing the guy with a gun and how he has a camo hat on so that is why he might be a army man but he also might be a S.W.A.T member because how he has a big gun and how S.W.A.T's have those guns and suff like that so that is why I think that he is that stuff.
What's happening in the photo is that a terrorist is getting food before he attacks and because he has a gun with him to arm himself if he needs to.
I think in this picture the man has the gun because just in case something bad happen and the little boy looks hungry looking at those chips like he is saying give me those chips.
My Analysis of the visual text is It seems like this man is a bodyguard for Subway. Because all of the problems that we have in are world are scary and the store could be robbed any second of the day. I support my analysis with evidence such as, affecting others,Subway wants their workers and customer to be safe so no one gets hurt. RM:112
#112 J.P My analysis of this visual text is they are protesting for guns because some people think there bad. I support my analysis with evedince such as they're are all wearing a sticker that says guns save lives.
The kid don't care because hes probably use to being around guns
It looks like there is a group of people who just came from a a gathering
I think the man has a gun hanging on his shoulder and a man that has a orange sticker that says gun saves lives and a little kid starring at chips.
Gun!
I believe that these men have been protesting for gun rights. The gun, at a certain angle, looks like it has been pointed at the little boy who seems to be distracted. This seems to be a negative portrayal of guns and people who are standing up for their rights for guns.
I believe that this is an NRA gathering--possibly at Subway, and the kid there belongs to one of the members. The way the photographer positioned this picture, the gun that the man has looks like it is pointed at the kid. Although of course, anyone could easily tell that the kid is CLEARLY standing in front of the armed man, and is not in an considerable danger--even though that is how the photographer portrayed it.
1
I think that the man is just trying to show people that guns are safe not always dangerous and that guns can help safe other people that are in danger. Also people can get hurt because what if that little boy takes the gun and ackedently push the button and shoots someone on ackedint and his dad gets really really really angry at him.You could make them smaller and safer
This boy just wants some chips, but no one even pays attention.
I think the man has a gun on his back and a man that has a sticker that says guns save lives and the little kid is starring at snacks.
There is a NRA convention nearby.
This is a negative portrayal because the focal point is the little boy and it is being pointed directly at him.
The boy is locked on the chips
They all have been to a gun show. And the guy was trying to sell his gun and he did not sell it. The kid is fascinated by the gun and keeps staring at it.
the little boy is hugrey. most of the peplpe are waring hats
I think that that man is part of a peaceful protest
I believe that he is using his right to have a gun. He is doing this by bringing his gun with him everywhere he goes.
I think this is not safe because any kid can grab the gun while the man is not paying attention. I think that the man can carry a smaller gun like a pistol for self defence, not a huge automatic gun.
That guy had a gun strapped on him.He had gun and nobody cared because they were not afraid and he had not pull the gun out
It seems like this man is a bodyguard for Subway. Because all of the problems that we have in are world are scary and the store could be robbed any second of the day. The problems affecting others,Subway wants their workers and customer to be safe so no one gets hurt.
I see people with guns and the people look like hunters. I think that they just went to buy something and they don't want to cause any trouble. Are they really hunters or are they thieves? One is carrying a huge gun on his back and a little kid is staring at it. it looks like they are at Subway.
Maybe a gun club stopped for a snack break while going to a shooting range. Or maybe they are protesting and the person just has a gun to be safe in case a fight breaks out or the protest goes violent.
I think that he is carrying a gun because he is standing up for guns and he is just getting food to eat to show everyone, he is in the army so, he can carry one around.
This person should not have his gun in a store were kids are. I think this because it is not safe to have a gun next to a child or any person because a child might be curious and mess with it and injure someone.
I think there is this country that is has no defense for the people and this man has this rifle for his own protection or just to help people that are in trouble. There are probably more people in the place that have guns but they aren't that big. I think this because some countries don't have self-defense.
In this picture I think that they are in Subway or some other sub place. It also looks like a protest that GUNS SAVE LIVES. The gun that the guy has on his back isn't going to shoot because he has a paper to stop the thing
Maybe this man is testing his right to bear arms in public to see how people will react to it.
The man in this photo is just chilling at subway, waiting for his Italian BMT, so that he can get going to his shooting tournament. He may look menacing with is AK styles rifle, but he is just a friendly competitive shooter waiting for his meal. Since he has a competition coming up, he is very impatient with the restaurant.
This gentle man is at his local subway making sure there are no intruders. He is here today because there has been many robberies in the area. He has been enlisted by the owner to protect the establishment. As he is a veteran of the military he as the experience needed for the job.
First of all why does this mane have this huge gun in Subway. Second of all the child needs to move or the man at least should move it. He could've left it in his vehicle. I don't really understand whats going on here like really this man is crazy
A man has a gun strapped to his back, for self defense . He is standing in line and the little boy behind him is amazed by the gun but thinks he isnt safe. The little boy thinks the gun is so cool he cant stop looking at it.
In this picture it looks like people are protesting but they are peaceful. The men had "gun save lives" on their shirt which could mean that they are trying to prove something peacefully. I think they are trying to show that even when a guy has a gun on them it doesn't scare people and that it doesn't frightened them. They are trying to tell people that even though people could be out there with guns and using it forcefully other's are using it peacefully. They are at a store and not using the gun just buying food and that they aren't shooting people and that they just want people to know that they aren't here to kill.
It looks like a man that came from a musem to pick up some food. I fell realy bad for the kid he mite feel unconfortable.
I think it is a riot that guns save lives instead of taking them.
I think the picture is demonstrating a protest against the change of law with the 2nd amendment. The guy with the gun is obviously in this protest deeply the. the two men on the right with the stickers are also with the protest because the stickers says "guns save lives." witch probably means that they have been in a situation or they just think that way where someone was up against a dangerous animal or a criminal.
In this picture I believe what it is trying to show is that people should own guns. The guns are not a bad thing it is the person that is using the gun. The two gentlemen has a sticker that says guns save life. You see the person with a gun and no one is afraid of it. This is showing that it is used for protection and not as a violent act. It is also showing that it is the person that makes the choices not the gun.
a man is carrying a gun in a public restaurant that looks like a subway, this could be a result of the open carry law in the US. everyone seems to be unmoved by this since it is legal in this part of the us. you can see people with stickers saying "guns save lives" in the background, this could be a silent protest against people against the open carry law since they have a different point of view. this man could be carrying the gun for his protection or for the safety of the other people in the restaurant, just in case a robbery or something else happens.
I see in this picture someone with a fully loaded automatic weapon and i think it shows some peoples point of view and everyone seems not to be worried, but the kid in the picture kind of looks confused or scared even if he knows the man. Seems to be a normal day for these people which is the weird thing. They are probably in a different country who doesn't have such of a strict gun control because they are at a public place with guns and everyone is comfortable.
This really raises many questions: Mainly, why do we need to carry around guns in public areas. A person will say it's for self-defense, but the next man to walk in could be a violent shooter or terrorist. It sounds like a one in a million chance, but with the sudden increase in shooting. What's the use of carrying guns when they can come within point-blank range of a child, frighten many people simply passing by, and can be used at any second to hurt anybody?
In this picture is epressing the mans right to bear arms ( 2d amendment.) The right to bear arms was thought of my James Madison on December 15, 1791 after people found out that the caunsituation gave more power to the state.
Nobody notices the kid with the NY shirt boonking a bag of chips
In this picture it looks like there are men who are waiting in line to get a sandwich from Subway. The objects in this picture are the people in line and the guns that are on their backs. The setting in this picture in in a Subway restaurant . It looks like they were engaging by talking to each other. Many of the people in there do have guns save lifes sticker. This could have been after the School Shooting.
This picture seems to be showing a protest in favor of firearms being accessible. Multiple people are wearing stickers saying SAVE, but I can't read the rest of it. People are dressed in red, white, and blue, such as the girl with the hat and it shows how they believe it is an American right to bear arms. The man is casually carrying a gun on his back and ordering from Subway or some other sandwich shop and is standing right next to a child, so it clearly isn't an act of violence. There seems to be hardly any food left in the sandwich shop, suggesting large crowds from a protest. No one seems to acknowledge or even give a second glance at the large gun strapped on to the man with the hunting hat's back, proving that they are protesting for lower gun restrictions and that that is completely normal.
They are at what appears to be Subway®. They are most likely hungry because they are at Subway®. BUT. If you look very closely, you can see that a man has a firearm strapped to his back. This is a very well hidden easter egg, and definitely one that fans will appreciate. Also, there is a child wearing a star wars hat. Oh yeah, and the “Guns save lives” stickers everyone’s wearing. But that’s not important. Therefore, I conclude that this is a pro gun rally aftermath picture of people eating at subway after watching star wars at a pro gun rally.
1
Looks as if this is during some sort of a gun rally at a subway due to red-orange sticker that states “Guns Save Lives” and a sign mostly blocked by people that shows UBW which could be part of the word Subway. One man in the front has an AK model rifle with a piece of paper jammed into it meaning the gun is not intended to be used to hurt any one. This backs up my claim it may be during a gun rally.
The protesters are coming back from lunch After a Rally, and they are protesting for gun rights. They are wearing orange sticker that says guns save lives.
In this picture, all the people in Subway are protesting for gun rights. I think they may be doing it in Subway because a lot of people go to Subway because it’s a good place to go and the people who will go there will see that their wearing stickers. On the sticker it say guns save lives so those people who see that will spread the word.
In this picture, I see a man with a gun & two men with “guns save lives stickers” in Subway. The gun on the man’s back is not usable. I know this because there's a small roll of paper sticking out of the gun preventing bullets from entering the chamber, the safety is on & there’s a safety cap on the end of the gun. I think this man is protesting that just because you have a gun doesn’t mean you are going to kill someone. The kid clearly knows that the gun is there & is very calm about it so it is probably his father & they probably are just getting a snack after a pro gun rally.
Nice
I believe the picture shows a man with a gun near a child. I see that some of the people are wearing stickers that says “guns save lives” the man who has the guns may be planning on hurting someone or just simply trying to protect people bu we don’t know because this world has made us think bad things about guns.
I believe the picture is illustrating a protest with the main focus being on guns. The picture shows two men with stickers saying, “guns save lives.” To me, that speaks to me as they are for having possession of a firearm. Also, there is another man that has a gun out in the open, but no one is frightened. I think this is because of people see that just because you have a gun, doesn’t mean you will shoot someone.
The person in the picture are carying the gun because he is againt gun laws changing.
This man is inside Subway ordering his food like everyone else. He is carrying a gun to show that he believes people can carry firearms. He is expressing his beliefs on gun laws. The man will continue to carry his AK-74u to show that people can legally carry guns which is stated in the 2nd Amendment.
I think that these 3 men 1 with the gun and 2 wearing “guns save lives” stickers are protesting or they were at a protest for people that are pro gun which Is why there’s a man with a gun and two other men with the “guns save lives” stickers.
The man comes from the military. He came to take his child to a nearby subway. The man must have recently come home, which would explain why he still has a gun. They must have lived close to the Subway, and so they went to Subway. Also the man must have some kind of symbol that says he's from the military, which would explain why no one seems to question why he has a gun.
The man beside the one with the gun has a ''Gun's Save Lives'' sticker on his shirt The other man is just showing his rights
in this image I think that these People in Subway are protesting against not having guns on you at all times. People wearing a badge that says “guns save lives”. Also that somebody has a gun with themprobaly after or before the protest.
The man is participating in a protest by demenstrating guns dont kill people kill
This picture looks like it was taken in America, in a fast food restaurant. It looks like there is a man carrying a gun. This might say that he is expressing his right to own a gun. A little boy is also beside him, it looks like he wants chips but he is scared by the gun.
This person looks like he could be doing a social experiment. Trying to see what would others do seeing a guy in a restaurant with a gun on his back.
The guy in the picture is carrying a gun around with him inside a subway in England. He is serving his country by protecting the people from shooters and he needs to do that by carrying around a gun with him. All the other people are going on with there day and think nothing about the guy carrying a gun with him.
I think that in this picture there are people getting lunch at a Subway, and those people are either going to or comming from a gun rights rally, i know this because one guy has a gun, but not shooting it to show that just because you have a gun doesn’t mean your gonna kill people. Also, this other guy has an orange sticker on his jacket that says “guns save lives”
In this picture I believe that most of the people in that Subway are for or pro guns in schools. I think this because there are two men wearing “Guns save lives” badges. Also, there is a guy with a gun on his back yet no one the room seems to care or think twice about it. Not even the little kid who is standing right next to it. Another scenario could be that the people with badges and the guy with gun could have just come back from a meeting or a rally about guns. So, they came to Subway to get food.
I think that they are in Subway and advocating gun rights and protecting their second amendment right. This could be right because some of the people are wearing stickers that say guns save lives. Another thing is that there are people who have guns with the there isn’t any violence going on. They might have gone to Subway because they might have gotten hungry from doing a rally or a protest.
To me, this picture shows some men and a child coming from a gun rights rally who were hungry. The reason I can tell that is they are wearing orange stickers that have written on them, “guns save lives.” I believe that they are in a Subway shop because there is a poster on the back right wall that has the colors of Subway and has cookies and a sandwich on it. The clock is also a tomato and every Subway has one. The young boy look likes he doesn’t have any idea what is going on and he was just dragged along by his guardian. He isn’t old enough to have formed his own opinions. The man with the gun on his back that is very prominent I think is protesting that just because you have a gun doesn’t mean that you are necessarily violent or a killer. He is showing that it is not the guns that kill people, it is the people with the guns in their hands. The man is peacefully protesting and you can tell all of the other people in the shop are calm so it was not a violent protest/rally.
They are in Subway, and the man carrying the gun is protecting his child because he doesn't feel safe anymore.
I think that what’s going on is that they are advocating for their 2nd amendment. The right to bare arms. I believe that because they have stickers that read “Guns Save Lives”. I think they are at Subway. From the clock in the background, it’s around 2:30. So they could have been at a rally and went in to get something to eat.
This is about people going to a rally about gun safety and wearing stickers saying “guns save lives” and eating at Subway (not sponsored)
“Guns dont kill people its people with guns that kill people”.
I believe that all these Subway loving, country style, men and women are pro gun. Most of them have bright orange “ gun save lives” stickers posted on their shirts and jackets. Since there are a lot of people, some even with rifles, at 2:25 it's a bit late for lunch. I believe that I that all these men and women ( except for the ones working) came from a pro gun meeting or rally and they got hungry so they headed over to Subway.
It looks like there are a bunch of people protesting for guns in a Subway. Most of them have “guns save lives” stickers, and one of them has a gun strapped to his back. It looks like a child was dragged along with them to the rally, it seems like they’re trying to show that guns are safe around people and children.
He is a military soldier who can back home. Now, since he is back home, the soldier wants to celebrate his welcome home by going to Subway.
This is Set in a subway in the states and the man in the picture is expressing he's rights of carrying a firearm in public. The man is just walking around to show that He has a right to a firearm and so does everybody else does legally under the second amendment.
In this picture a group of people are standing in line at Subway. One of the men has a gun slung across his back and two have “Guns Save Lives” badges. From this information we can infer that this might have been taken after some sort of gun rally or gathering. Since it is later in the afternoon and they are stopping for lunch this would make sense. You can tell that they don’t plan on hurting anyone because no one seems scared or intimidated by the gun. This is what I believe is going on in the picture.
A man with a loaded rifle behind his back stands for his food while a child next to the man looks hungrily near the chips at a local Subway®. In the background of the store, you see a bright orange sticker that reads, “Guns save lives” on a couple customers.
The people in the picture are not even paying attention to the child that is carrying the gun in the back
This is a photo of a deli, possibly Subway, and there is an armed man standing in line. Normally, guns would not be allowed in stores like this. This was probably taken in the South somewhere where it is allowed to carry a gun.
i see chips that is in kenesaw
There are a lot of people in Subway and there is a man with a gun with a child right next to him who could be his son.
It looks like the men are hunting. A lot of people have guns. It looks like it is in the US. Everyone looks like this is the norm which is really confusing.
This photo shows a large group of people in a deli or sandwich shop of some sort. What stands out is the man armed with a rifle and a small child standing right next to it. No one in the photo seems to be concerned with the weapon or shocked to see a man armed, allowing me to assume that this is a state where carrying arms in public is the norm.
It is a picture of a man freely carrying his gun in a blimpie or subway.
This looks like I'm the south, maybe Texas, or a similar area in a subway or another similar restaurant. This kid looks so scared, but no one else seems to care about the guns.
I think that this picture was most likely taken in the south somewhere, where there is an public carry law. It also looks like that this is a protest for the use of guns of the United States, and for their legality in the public.
In this picture I see a man with a gun on his back standing in a line at restaurant. I think that the man believes that everyone should have a gun based on the fact that he is carrying one into a restaurant. I also see that no one is alarmed in the picture even the kid is more focused on the chips than the gun. This makes me assume that in this area guns are common and don't stand out.
There is a man with the gun which no ones seems to care about. The little boy is looking at the chips and might want them, but is scared by the gun.
The guy has a gun and they are in a town that no one cares that he openly has a gun on him and that aren’t paying mind to the gun at all
This looks like a place in America where people are protesting to be able to carry guns. I can tell because the man has a sticker guns save lives while he carry’s a gun on his back which he argues that he only uses for saftey.
A man is allowed to carry a gun near a child. I wonder what country this is in.
A man is carrying around a gun in a public restaurant. Some don't seem very unnerved by this. He might be trying to keep others safe or is only concerned with his own safety.
There is a lot of people that are in Subway and there is only three people working. There is a guy with a gun. There is a little boy he looks like he is about 6 to 7 years old. He is there with his dad.
I think the little boy wants a bag of chips but he can't get to them because he probably does not want to accidentally hit the gun. The little boy probably will wait to get a bag of chips. I also think the guy with the gun is a person that is supposed to have the gun because nobody seems to care about it.
In this picture it seems to be a man with a gun and no one seems to mind about the gun. The child looking at the chips must be the man's son. In what looks like Subway, everyone seems to be minding their own business and unnoticing the gun strapped behind his back. The child must be wanting something judging by the way he staring at the bag of chips.
What I think is that this guy is from the army or navy and that he is going to places and making sure everybody is okay and safe. I think this because people are getting killed and hurt cause of people making bad decisions.
In this picture there is a man with a gun strapped around him.I think he is a guard or he is someone who is making sure everything is okay and that nothing will happen to anybody. I also think that he used to be in the military or the army, because people don't carry guns around them, unless they are the FBI or they are Sheriff or he is a sergeant. I think the man is in a cafe or in a deli were people get food and drinks.
It looks to me as if a guy has just came back from serving in the military and is getting some food from a place that looks like a Subway. I also noticed that there is a child so it's most likely his child. My guess would be that he is taking his child out to lunch/dinner.
I think this is in a store where they allowed you to have gun. It is in Subway on fourth of July. Why I think this is because of the hats and it set up like a Subway. I think the little boy in danger and is being kidnapped. Why I think this is because he really close up to the guy who has a gun.
Russian Swat team on their day off
When you order s side of firepower with your meatball sub.
Ask for those chips ONE MORE TIME and see what happens!
There is a man with a gun that looks like it is pointed toward the little boy.
The men just came home from the gun rally. They are going out for a bite to eat. They get lost in conversation and begin talking to one another. They do not realize that the gun is pointing towards the boy.
Look like the people were going to order food and they look like they came from a war reinactment for all the soldiers that had passed away
This picture displays a man being oblivious to the boy standing directly in the path of the gun. Since the boy nor man would stay in that position in the restaurant, I think the photographer was trying to catch the right moment to show how guns could possibly be dangerous.
It looks like the people in the picture have just came back from a gun rally and they are getting subway.
Caption: There could be a robbery going on but if there is food involved, I'm going to be oblivious to anything just. #AttentionSpanofa5YearOld
The men are either going to, or coming back from a gun rights rally because the stickers on their shirts say, "Guns Save Lives." However, the photographer of this photo does not seem to be on the men's side. The gun is pointed at the little boy showing how it is not safe.
The people have a sticker from a gun rally that says guns save lives and that is true, but they also destroy lives. Guns can put people in danger. Like how the gun is pointed at the little boy. Some guns can go off by accident and end lives or make people feel unsafe. Don't just carry guns because they make you safe. It can make others uncomfortable.
in this image, I think that the adults in the picture are on the way home from a pro-gun rally because of the orange stickers on their clothing. The child in the photo seems to be afraid of the gun, but none of the adults seem to care that the gun is present.
The sticker says that "Gun Saves Lives", this leads me to believe that they came from a rally, or protest, fighting for the right to carry guns. After attending the protest the men went to go get food, brining their guns with them. The man with the gun on his back has it pointed at the kid, but he doesnt realize the kid is there. The brightly clothed child is only focused on the chips in front of him, also oblivious to the gun pointed at him.
The men have stopped at a Subway or a deli. The men have most likely been to a gun rally because they an orange sticker that says guns save lives. All the men may be being oblivious to the young boy who is close to the gun.
In this picture they just came from a gun rally and now are going to eat at subway.Nobody is paying attention to the kid.
We think this is a gun rights rally because of the orange stickers that say, "Guns save lives." We think this is an open carry state because of the man with the rifle on his back.
We notice that they are in a Subway restaurant because we could see part of a Subway sign.
Where, ...where do you see the subway sign?!?!
In this picture a man is exercising his right to bear arms. In this picture the gun looks contained. However, the imagery of the gun pointing towards the little boy exemplifies many people's views on gun control and how they effect our society.
Men, most likely coming from a pro-gun rally judging from their "Guns Don't Kill" stickers, are in a deli waiting in line. This is most likely taking place in a state or country that allows people to openly carry their firearms in public, since no one seems to be fazed at the sight of a man with a gun strapped across his back.
In This picture there is a guy who has a gun on his back and he is carrying it around like it is normal. Also he has a large magazine which shows that this is in a state with loose restrictions on guns.
It appears as if people are at a Gun Rally at a local deli. There are a group of people wearing orange stickers, that have the word "SAVE" in big letters. Also an older man with an Automatic Rifle, that has an engaged safety and a small slip of paper in the chamber to prevent fire, carries it on his back. A younger boy is standing right below the chamber of it.
The man is buying his lunch at a subway. He is most likely at a gun rally to support. He has taken safety measures. He has prevented the chamber form closing and has the safety on.
its just a man taking advantage of the second amendment. He seems to be getting some food at a sub shop. Obviously American.
This is a gun rights supporter who does not want stricter gun laws. The little boys looks scared.
It looks like someone is casually carrying a gun while they get a sub from subway. Also it could be part of a gun rally because there are orange pins that say guns save lives. Also it looks like they are in the north or in a cold area because they are all wearing coats and hats.
I believe this is a gun rally because they are wearing a patch that supports gun carry in the country. The most noticable item is the gun latched on to the shoulder of the man openly. Although it is pointed towards the kid, the man has taken safety precautions so that is the gun does not go off accidentally.
There is a man standing in a food line with a loaded gun on his back. There are several people wearing an orange sticker that says “guns save lives.” They could possibly be supporting guns and protesting for the usage of guns.
The man is grabbing lunch at subway with a gun on his back. The gun appears to be on safety which is good.
In this picture it looks like people are coming from a gun rally due to the sticker or button on their shirts saying pro-gun statements. Everyone in there thinks it’a completely normal which is true based off of the location they’re in.
In this picture, it looks like these people are standing in the deli getting food. This to me is in the state of Texas or another southern country. Also, there is a man with an automatic gun around his shoulder and people seemed to be perfectly ok with it. The United States obtain way more guns than most countries in the world.
There is a guy holding a gun very close to a kid
A man has an open carry permit and is in a sandwhich shop with many other people. There is a little boy standing right near the gun
They’re probably stopping to get some food before a gun rally. they’re wearing pins and carrying guns. It seems normal to them to see guns carried in their everyday lives.
It could be a gun rally with the members going out and getting food at some sub shop.
This looks like subway, and there is a guy with a gun on his back. It’s probally in the U.S and the gun is literally pointing at the kid. It looks like a dangerous situation
Probably in Southern America (cowboy hat) American flag colored hat. Wearing pins saying “guns save lives” which makes it seem as if they were at a rally and are taking a lunch break.
This picture looks like it might have been a protest or a rally for gun support due to the gun in the picture and the button that says guns save lives.
Looks like a person with a open carry permit in a subway in America. Seems they are at a rally. They are just exercising their rights.
This looks like a gun rally. The only thing that worries me that there is a Supposedly loaded gun on his back which could scare nearby people.
Looks like a gun rally. Everyone is protesting their rights to use guns because of the contraversey recently. The man is holding a ak-47 variant and it looks spookie.
What I think is going on in this picture is the people with the orange pins that say guns save lives they were at a campaign. Saying how guns save people not hurt people. This might take place in a different state because the way the man with the gun is dressed.
This looks like a gun rights support group walking around carrying their guns in protest of others saying that there need to be stricter laws.
There is a man in a subway ordering food while having a gun strapped to its back. There is a young big next to the older man with other people in the store. There are many people wearing a orange sticker saying “guns save lives”. They could be pro gun and encourage having guns for protection.
Looks like a man getting his lunch at the local subway. Stretching his 2nd amesment right
Young Ben and his uncle Thomas went to SUBWAY to buy some food to eat.
Thomas was carrying a gun. Why? because that's how he protects himself, and Ben´s. Where they live there's a lot of people shooting each other. The only way to survive is to have something to protect you and your family.
This appears to be a man with a gun around his back in a Subway restaurant. It’s hard to determine where the location is because it’s all white people but if I had to guess it would be in an open carry state such as Texas. Also there is a child right next to it and he doesn’t seem disturbed by it. I hope he enjoys his sub.
John the father of the little boy is in a country where any citizen has the right to carry a gun. If and only if they have they have their permanent to carry a weapon. Which means he has the right to carry the gun. Even if they just go to his son's favorite place to eat like Subway just to get food and leave.
It looks like a subway or some kind of deli with people in it and one man has a gun on his back who probably has a carry permit.
There is a man with a gun strapped on his back. This is taking place in Subway and everyone is wearing warm clothes.
This photo shows a man with a assault style weapon strapped around his body and is in a public setting. The gun is pointed right down at a little boy below him and everyone seems to be acting normal in this situation.
It looks like is a fast food restaurant because at the back you can see the a singn that say Subway, there is a guy with a gun on the back he looks like he is a sheriff or a police because his trench coat looks like the coat that the police use.
It looks like is in New York because the lady at the back has a shirt that say New York, everyone that I see is wearing a coat.
In this picture I see a young boy who is looking up at this man who has a large gun swung behind his back. They seem to be in a deli of some sort.
In this picture a man is expressing his right to open carry a weapon even though it’s completely ridiculous and unnecessary to carry that kind of weapon in public.
Open carry is fine just having this kind of open carry makes you look ridiculous.
I think in this picture two army people have walked into a subway to get some food and maybe take a break. The one guy has a gun on his back maybe cause he was out hunting or he is just protecting himself. I also think this is in a different state because nobody is freaking out the guy has a gun and he is allowed to have a riffle of his back in a public restaurant. Here we are not allowed to have a gun like that unless we have a permit.
There are lots of people in the Subway restaurant going to get the new sub thats out. Then this guy with a weapon came in the restaurant to order the new sub that is out. When he came in people just stared at him.
In this picture there is a guy with a gun on his back, holding a little boys hand. Two men are wearing orange stickers that say "Guns Save Lives" on them. This makes me think that this might be the meeting place of a pro-gun rally or that maybe one just occurred and the guys are hungry so they are getting food from Subway. Either no one has noticed the gun on the man's back or they know there is no reason for concern.
In this photo it looks like a man is ordering a sub from Subway. He might have just been hunting and you can say that because he has a camo hat. It also looks like it might be cold out because most of the people in the Subway have on something a little heavy.
I think these people are going to their state protesting gun control laws and trying to keep the government from taking away what freedoms for guns they already have. This photo is a protest towards the open carry act and gun distribution to the public. I believe this is some sort of a pro-gun protest the recent events in the United States would trigger this event. The man on the right and the one in the tan coat off toward the back both have stickers on that say “Guns Save Lives” also shows a pro-gun rally.
Today we are at Subway, the little boys uncle is carrying a gun. The reason for that is because there have been so many shootings he carries a gun around everywhere he goes.
What I think is going on in this picture is that the man with a gun is just waiting in line with his son. The reason he has a gun with him is because he is just trying to be ready for anything.
There is a man in a subway, probably for a Guns save lives rally. He appears to be standing by this boy with a AK variant high powered rifle. there are lots of people here, it looks like this man could be with this boy, protecting him. they look like they would as if not carrying any guns with them, just getting sandwiches. you can even see the guns save lives stickers on their shirts.
In this photo, there is a man with a gun strapped on and most of the people are wearing warm clothes so im asuming its in a colder place. We are placed inside of a subway, thats very bust with customers. What im thinking about what is happening is that this man and his son where out hunting. They got hungry to walked into town and got some subway. No hard is going down, or he is about to rob the sub way and he needed a enforment to rob them from all of the money and take the vaulubles.
i look at this picture and i find something wrong with it . the thing i find wrong with it is that the man is holding a gun in subway. The gun is pointing towards the little boy. i understand if someone want to carry a gun for protection but not that big of a gun and not in a public place like subway. people might be scared to go in subway. people might think he is gonna shoot people or someone who is not right minded migth take advantage and take the gun to shoot people.
This photo is a protest towards the open carry act and gun distribution to the public, and how it will affect the society. Carrying guns will become the new normal where you can go to a subway and three or four people will be carrying AK's. there is nothing wrong with carrying a gun for protection but should you go to the store with massive guns strapped around you how can people tell whether you mean harm or it's "just for protection". This also asks the question whats stopping a person from grabbing a gun from someone with a gun strapped to them and open firing
In this picture there is a man with a fully loaded machine gun, in a subway with several other people. Since everyone appears to think this is normal and several people are wearing badges that say SAVE and the rest is illegible, that this could be an NRA meeting. Or people expressing their belief that full auto, and semi auto weapons should be legal. It is probably in the US because everything is in English.
In the photo, i see a man inside of what looks like subway with a rifle and intentions that we do not know. We can also see a little boy (We will call him John-Boy-Timmy) either staring at the device that could be his utter doom or his favorite crispy, crunchy, cheesy chips. It also seems that no one has seen that he has the gun except for little John-Boy-Timmy. On the news we have not heard of a Subway shooting in recent months so i assume that the man just bought his Subway sandwich and left. The only state that lets citizens openly carry rifles is Texas, so i assume its in Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas, Apparently also the guns.
I believe this is some sort of a pro-gun rally/protest, as the recent events in the United States would trigger this event. The man on the right and the one in the tan coat off toward the back both have stickers on that say “Guns Save Lives”, which further indicates a pro-gun rally. These men could all be buddies or just could have met during the rally and wanted to get something to eat. I also believe this could be in Texas as there is an open carry policy there and these men are all wearing hats.
i see a man with a remington 700 strapped to his back. everyone around him seems to be at ease and they are acting as if the gun isn't even there, so this must be happening in one of those countries that allows guns. probably somewhere in Yemen or right here in the U.S.A. which has 88.8 guns for every 100 residents. what's worse is that there is a little boy at the muzzle (a.k.a. the front of the gun) of the gun and the dad doesn't even notice, that is very very dangerous.
I think that this story is about people who think we should support pro-guns. I say this because he is casually walking around in subway but he isnt hurting anyone. They might be trying to prove a point that guns dont kill people. Poeple do.
A bunch of people are waiting in line to get some food. Its appears to be serving sub sandwiches. One family of a dad and son are in line; the dad is wearing a gun over is left shoulder. He is probably exercising his 2nd amendment right to bear arms. The guy on the right of that family seems to be worried that he is wearing a gun in a restaurant exercising this rights, because of recent gun control debates.
I can predict, that the man in the front of the picture is about to shoot someone. After that shooting in Florida, can predict that there might be more in the future. Or maybe the guy is concern about his safety in public. By judging of the looks from he kid, he looks scared, that the guy has a gun on his shoulder. The U.S. has a higher shooting rate than any other country in the world. The other in the front doesn´t realize that the man behind them has a gun. So they think, he is protecting himself from the dangers that might come.
In this picture, it is a crowded subway with a lot of grown men. One of the men has a loaded rifle, a hunter perhaps, considering his warm clothes, and camouflage hat. The young kid next to him is looking up to him as if he is a role model, the guy is calm with rested and hands and good body language. All of the other people are just worried about the food and the workers, concentrated on getting the order right. The front of his clothes may have something that indicates a policemen, professional huntsman, and etc... Since nobody seems in shock or worried.
In this picture, it appears as though the man with the gun strapped to his back, as well as the people around him, are part of a pro-gun protest or movement and they stopped to get food. The man standing beside the man with the gun has a sticker that states, "Guns Save Lives" and another man in front of them is wearing the same sticker. Everyone seems to be very calm and nobody seems to look scared or upset so I believe that all or at least most of the people in this are part of the movement. I think that with the gun strapped to his back, he is exercising his right to bear arms since he may not have that right for much longer. He is also probably trying to show that his gun isn't killing anyone by just sitting on his back.
In this picture it looks like someone who has a loaded firearm is trying to get food. The people around this person are reacting as if this is something that happens everyday. I also see a child in the photo. The child is standing really close to the adult with the firearm so I am lead to believe that the child is his. I also see that this man is wearing camo hat and if you look above the edge of his jacket you can see some more camo. The reason I am pointing this out is maybe the man is a hunter and he was about to go on a hunt or he just finished a hunt and is wanted to get some food.
In this picture, a normal guy ordering at subway. He wants to protect himself from any nearby dangers that can harm. He's a citizen ordering subway. I am surprised that no one is acting suspicious or curious. Everyone is acting normal. It is true that some states let you bare arms, thus the 2nd amendment.
I think that a hunter walked into a food court to get food with his gun still on his back. The man carrying the gun is also waiting on line in front of a small child. The small child seems unfazed by the gun, so the person carrying the gun probably has a legal permit.
In this picture a man is walking in subway with a gun endangering all the people in subway. Everyone seems very calm but the boy because he sees the gun and acts very suspicious. Everyone in subway are calm because they don't
see the gun because its behind his back. Having a gun in a public place is illegal and dangerous. Anything could happen to those people if his gun went off .
In this picture, I can see a man in a Subway carrying a gun. A gun that can be used as a defense mechanism. The man next to him has a sticker that says "Guns save lives." The people are acting like this is a normal thing that happens all the time. This leads me to believe this is some sort of gun control movement. Since the people are not reacting this could be a protest that has been happening around them.
In this photo, I see a man standing in a Subway while carrying a loaded gun. None of the people appear to be frightened in any way. I also notice two of the men have "Guns save lives" stickers on their chests. This leads me to believe this is a pro-guns gathering.
In this picture it seems to be a protest over gun rights. They seem to trying to make it so people believe that someone who carries guns are not just ready to start shooting anything. It seems as though everyone in the restaurant thinks everything is normal, like it doesn't matter that he is carrying that gun. Even the kid thinks everything is fine, the protest is trying to show that guns can be safe. There appears to be protest buttons or stickers saying that "Guns save Lives," most likely meaning they think that carrying guns would be somewhat better than waiting for police to arrive if something ever does happen.
We have concluded that this image is showing a Subway store where several members of a veteran organization have gathered. It is apparent that they are in favor of carrying guns. We agreed that the posters in the background show an ad for Subway. It seems that the people in line are veterans because they're wearing army clothing and a rifle. We think they are lined up to receive free food. The boy in this image is thinking about what he would like to eat.
What i see in this picture is that a man in a public restaurant has a gun strapped to the back of him, as if the town he lives in is dangerous. I can find that nobody else has a gun or any type of weapon, but it is legal to have a gun if you have a license for it. The picture seems as if the environment is easy going, but the guy with the gun could be from an army of some sort.
In this picture, i see that a man holding what seem like a loaded automatic gun into a subway store. Everyone around him seems like its a normal thing happend in a every day life. I think its in the US cause it is legal in many states to bare an arm loaded gun or even a unloaded gun. At the moment i agree these laws cause of many different shootings that happend in the US, i also think that the 2nd should be replaced cause of many horrible causes because of the 2nd amendment.
In this picture, I can see a man holding what seems to be a loaded gun into a Subway. Everyone around him seems to react as if this were a very normal thing that happens all the time, leading me to believe that this is in the US because it is legal in a variety of states to bare an arm. At the moment there are many debates regarding these laws because of the various shootings that have occurred in the US, personally, I think that the 2nd amendment should be repealed because it has only led to horrible causes. If you take a look at other countries that don't have this in their constitution, the number of mass shootings is a lot lower.

I believe this people are in a Subway waiting to order some food, and some of the people just came out from a meeting about the use of guns since some of the men are wearing stickers that say "Gun Saves Lifes". Also, the guy in black has a rifle in his back which shows his approval on guns.
I think this group of people are in favor of gun use probably somewhere in Texas an are going to other states so they can legalize they buy weapons too.
It looks like there a pro-gun campaign taking place at the restaurant (possibly Subway). There is a man with a gun on his back, and he justifies his possession by saying it is a defense mechanism, "guns save lives". This is very ironic because even though they may save the life of the gun owner, they could attack someone mistakenly and take a life. Violence isn't the answer, and they have to understand that problems can be solved in many different ways.

We liked your point that violence isn't the answer, and problems can be solved in many different ways. One of us said, "Use your words."
Three men standing in line inside of a Subway sandwich store seem to be getting some food while they are part of a pro-gun movement. This is evident since one man has a gun and the other two have a sticker that states that guns save lives. I think they are part of a movement because the other people standing in front of them also have a bright orange sticker.

Some people are at a Subway food shop, it seems that they've been protesting for guns in America since they're using badges that say "guns save lives". One man is wearing a gun strapped to his back which makes me think that this occurs in a southern state of the US where gun laws are often more liberal.
Its a line of people trying to get food in a sandwich restaurant. In the line to get food, there is a man with a gun. This image looks to be taken place in a subway since the uniform and the color palate of the whole environment fit with that of the brand subway. The guy with the gun is most probably in a march for the freedom of fire weaponry along with the other three people beside and behind him. They all seem to believe that, as it says in their sticker "guns save lives." One even brought a youngster with him.
In this picture, a pro-gun group (probably the NRA) is ordering food at Subway before or after a march in the United States. You can tell it is a pro-gun group not just because they are carrying weapons, but because of the stickers they have on their chest which says "Guns Save Lives". The language of both the shop and the stickers gives away the country, while the assembly line gives away the shop name. Since I don't think they would usually wear those stickers around, I can tell they probably just came from some sort of meeting or protest, and the fact that they are at a food shop means they are taking a break either before or after the event. I also see that there are three, maybe four pro-gun members in the store, one of the men has a typical Southern hat (which means they are somewhere there), and the colors on the poster at the back of the store are also the typical subway greens.
This is in a store where they sell sandwiches and other food. People are in line to buy food and there is this man with a rifle. This is probably in a state in the United States where guns are legal and that is why this man is carrying it and nobody is surprised and no one is telling him anything. He is waiting in line to also buy some food.
In my opinion, the picture is in a restaurant where the people in the group of 'guns save lives' are having some kind of meeting there. I believe that was why the man has a gun at his back. I think they are a group where they support the gun use to protect themselves.
This might as well just be a normal restaurant is a state that strongly supports guns, giving people the freedom to both buy guns as accessibly as a walmart, and practically take it anywhere with them.
This picture must be in a state where people are conservative and very patriotic, the kids are wearing clothes with the flag on it. They are probably all going to some time of gun support rally. Apparently so they think guns are good because the men are wearing patches that say "Guns save lives". It might in fact be an NRA campaign
In this picture, I believe the people are taking a lunch break during a pro-gun demonstration. I believe this because of the large gun the guy is carrying, and the stickers many people have on that read "Guns save lives". It is clear that the people are in a Subway, meaning that they can only be taking a lunch break. It seems the guy carrying the gun was in the army, as he has a hat on that has a camo pattern, although this doesn't mean much. It is likely that this picture was taken in the south of the US as the people working at the counter do not seem too alarmed by the large gun, although this cannot be truly supported by the picture. People in the south typically support the second amendment, which would explain the lack of alarm when a man comes in a store with a huge gun.
This photograph was most likely taken somewhere in America because one person is wearing a New York City sweatshirt, and another person is wearing a hat that resembles the American flag. It appears to be in a Subway, based on the sign at the right of the photo. A man carries an unconcealed assault rifle, and nobody seems to be concerned, so it is most likely in a state were it is legal to carry an unconcealed weapon. This man has no police badge or sign of working for the federal government, so he is most likely just an average man. The two men next to the man carrying the gun are wearing orange stickers that say, "Guns save lives." All the people in this photo seem to support the right to own assault rifles and other types of guns in America. This photo was probably taken recently, as people are advocating their personal beliefs about guns in this controversial time.
on this picture I can see that they are in a food shop and I can see that there is a man with a gun in his back. I don't think that he is trying to harm someone because every person looks calm. So maybe it is a protest. I can also see that this place is in New York because there is a person with a Jacket that says New York.
This is in subway and their is man with a machine gun wrapped around his back and maybe he is marching or protesting about something because he has a pin in his jacket saying guns save lives.
I think these men are in a subway right where there is a movement to protect or keep the second amendment. I infer this because of the orange stamp on the man's chest.
I think this photo was taking on a Subway fast food chain in the U.S.A. I can infer this by the sign on the background which looks exactly like the ones on Subway. I can also infer it was taken in the U.S because the man is carrying a gun and Americans are aloud to do so in some states. It looks normal for the grown ups in the store but the kid looks scared of the gun.
I believe that what is going on with this picture is that they are showing how little kids are in a environment, were guns are seen as something normal. I say this because it looks that the kid fathers has a gun in his back. I can also see that by the way they are dressed, they are or were hunting.
I think this picture is in a sandwich shop maybe subway. I think it was taken somewhere in Texas because of the man with the cowboy hat. The men probably were at some type of protest about gun control because of one of them has a gun and they have stickers that say guns save lives.
i think hes trying to shoot people in subway
I think these people are eating in a subway in the united states of America. They are in the middle of a march in favor of guns. I say that because the signs are labeled in English so they are in America and also I say they are in a march because of the label they have on their chest.
It is interesting to believe that they are a part of a march to support guns. What leads you to believe that they are taking part in a march?
People are waiting in the line to order food on a Subway. Probably there's a march going on and some supporters of having guns stop by to eat. People have stickers that said "guns save lives" (peaceful march). Also a person is carrying a gun. I also notice that people doesn't care about or just doesn't pay attention to it for fear.
1
This man is trying to prove that guns save lives. He has a gun that can protect himself and his son if something happens but he is not doing anything with the gun.
I think what is going on is that there is a protest or march happening where people are in favor of guns. I think this is in the U.S. due to all the discussion that is happening around the gun laws and that sort of stuff. Also, all the signs are in English, so that helps too. I can see small patches which show their support to the march which supports my statement. I can also see a kid really close to the gun.
In this picture I see a line of people waiting to get to order what they want from "Subway" the restaurant, since the workers have green uniforms I can infer that. There is one men in the line that has a gun, I don't see why he should need it inside the place but maybe just for protection or he and his mates come from a haunting spree. Two other man are wearing the same badge saying "Guns SAVE Lives", which seems like a march two remove the 2nd amendment from the constitution.
I think it's in New York City in a subway because someone is wearing a shirt that says New York City and there is a subway sign. It looks like people protesting FOR guns because they're wearing a sticker that says "gun save lives".
In this picture a man is carrying a gun on his back and there are a group of people in a food store staring at the menu and also talking. There is a sticker in one several people that says "guns save lives" which makes me think that this people are gathered because they are in favor of the use of guns in whatever place they are in the world.
This picture was taken at a SUBWAY restaurant. There usually are fast food places in highways so people that are on road-trips can get something to eat, so I think that the men in the picture had gone on a hunting trip. This explains the gun and their outfits.
This could also be a pro-gun protest.
What I think that is happening in this picture is that they are protesting something about gun control because they have stickers that say that gun saves lives. They are in a Subway stop and they are coming from somewhere cold since they are all wearing warm clothes.
There's a gun protest going on. The guy with a gun just acting normally makes me think he's trying to prove that people can remain civil when holding a gun. Apart from that, I can't figure why the crowd doesn't really acknowledge the gun, it's like they have no reaction towards the situation.
I think that this picture represents how people feel about how guns need to be controlled and how guns can save many lives. In this picture, there is a man with a big gun in his back waiting to order a subway, he is standing with his sun and you can see there is a boy that has the jacket of New York, so this can resemble that they are in New York.
In the picture I think he brought a handgun to protect him and his son or they are protesting gun violence. It shows that you can have guns and actions appropriate with them.
When I look at this picture I see people with guns save life's badges in a subway during a protest in New York City.
When i look at this picture i think of the on going problem of "gun control". In the picture we see a grown man with a AK-47 on his back. Their are also kids around. This is in a public place and its in America. I think the New York Times picked this picture because of the recent event at Stoneman Douglas High School. This event had a 19 year old murdering his fellow students. This a very controversial topic but a indeed one needed to be talked about.
This picture takes place in a subway and it shows a man with a gun strapped on his back. You can see there is people in the back with buttons that say "Guns save lives". I think they have come to subway after a sort of meeting where they talk about gun rights. A lot of people believe in the second amendment in American so I think this takes place in America.
What i think is going in this picture is that this is in the United States and maybe about the protection and our nation with gun control and how it can solve our many problems with our nation. So maybe we can learn from our gun laws and how to fix them so we don't have another incident like the Florida school shooting, the Las Vegas shooting and etc.
in the picture i see a man walking into a subway with a gun, and in the back theirs two men with guns save lives stickers. they were probably at a protest all day and they were hungry so they stopped to get sandwiches.
i think that they are coming from a protest on guns because of the guy with g=the gun strapped around his body.
I think whats happening is the man is trying to prove a point. He must believe that there shouldn't be any restrictions of guns.
I think people in the picture are at a sandwich shop. They are protesting gun violence. it shows that you can have guns and act appropriate with them
I think these people are in a sandwich shop and are coming from a protest for guns. The people are wearing orange stickers that say "guns save lives". I think they are trying to prove that guns should not be banned and that they can protect people. The man in the front has a gun so he is probably a gun owner that is fighting for his right to own a gun.
This is a picture of many people gatherd in a Subway sandwich store. I think that this photo was taken when Storm Quinn hit the United States. Many people lost power and were incapable of staying in their homes because they had reached such chilling temperatures. The people gathered might have been in a pro gun march when the weather got to bad to handle. I know this because one man is carrying a gun and the other men are wearing stickers supporting the movement
Come back Thursday afternoon for more information about this picture! Thank you for participating in this week's discussion. See you next Monday.
I think that members of law enforcement are visiting a subway.
What makes you believe that these men are members of law enforcement?
Thanks for your comments, everyone. While many people believe this is a calm scene with people going about their everyday business, @Audrey feels store personnel may be intimidated and anxious, as indicated by their lack of eye contact with the customers. What do you think?
In this picture I see that are at a restaurant. Which is subway. There is a person with a gun and people are wearing bright orange stickers saying " guns save lives". I think they are trying to say that certain people with guys can save lives but not all.
Hi @Rilynn -- what do you see that makes you say that?
This picture takes place in a subway and it shows a man with a gun strapped on his back. You can see there is people in the back with buttons that say "Guns save lives". I think they have come to subway after a sort of meeting where they talk about gun rights. A lot of people believe in the second amendment in American so I think this takes place in America.
Great job including the laws of the United States Government
Great job including the United States Government
In this picture I see a man with a gun and the person next to him and in front of him are wearing stickers that say "guns SAVE lives" also they are in a subway and all the people there are trying to get a sandwich.
I think these people are in a sandwich shop and are coming from a protest for guns. The people are wearing orange stickers that say "guns save lives". I think they are trying to prove that guns should not be banned and that they can protect people. The man in the front has a gun so he is probably a gun owner that is fighting for his right to own a gun.
all theses people are at a subway. there is a Russian dude there looking for some vodka on the menu, sadly he realizes that there is no vodka on the menu. also, apparently in Russia it is okay to have giant guns and bring them to your local subways. the kid is looking past the Russian with the giant gun and looking at his favorite chips.it seems that no one is phased by this Russian with a giant assault rifle looking gun. all the other people must really like guns, because their stickers say 'guns save people'. Pro Gun Controllers.
In this picture , someone is carrying a gun in public. People have been talking about gun laws and things are going around. Some people in this picture might scared. This is probably related to all of the school shootings that happen around the U.S. Everyone saws different things about gun laws in the u.s. Most people just do it for protection but some people do it to kill.
The man is carrying an AK-47 on his back and everyone is wearing stickers that say guns save lives and according to this picture, this man feels very insecure or something because he's carrying an AK-47 and the people in there seem perfectly fine of it
In this picture, there are what looks like multiple families. One person obviously sticks out the most and thats the person standing right in the middle with a gun. He seems to be wearing a camouflage hat and a coat. They are in what seems to be Subway, looking at the building and the poster on the wall in the far right. I think they're all ordering sandwiches since they're at Subway.
What do you see that makes you say these people are related to one another?
This picture has to be the most American thing I've ever seen its just messing an eagle, and I think its iconic that the man to the armed mans left has a "guns save lives" sticker on his chest.
In this picture you can clearly see they are at Subway. There is a guy with a gun. There is a sticker that says guns save lives and it seems like they are trying to take a stand about something and show that it isn't always the guns that hurt people its the things people do with guns that harm people. It looks like everyone still seems to be going about their business and no one is really paying any attention to it. I feel like if they thought the guys was going to do something they would have left or said something.
They seem to be in a Subway. One of the men had an assault rifle strapped to his back, and the other has a sticker that says 'Guns save lives'. Everyone seems to be avoiding eye contact with them, giving the feel that they are scared or anxious. The young boy behind them looks anxious or ashamed to be with them. He also looks sad.
It seems useless to take a gun into a public place. Especially since it is an extremely argued about because of recent events.
There is a group of people in subway, one of them has an assault rifle. Some people have stickers that "Guns save lives". This has to be the most American ever!
This seems to take place in a Subway where a man has an AK in a store. He seems to have a child with him that seems way to calm to have a gun right next to him. Next to him is a man in a green jacket and has a black cowboy hat with a sticker that says "Guns save lives", but its not just him it seems that everyone has that sticker on them.
Hi Stefani -- what do you see that makes you say the boy looks too calm?
I believe they are at a subway. There's two guys that have a pin that states guns save lives. Another guy has a gun around his shoulder. In between them is a little boy who is staring at chips on the shelf and it could be one of their sons. I believe that they are in New York because the guy who is ordering has a New York shirt on. I think near the subway there is a protest about gun rights and they are just taking a break.
Really great observation about the New York shirt.
I see two men wearing "guns save lives" stickers and one man with a gun behind him with a kid next to him. I also see a guy wearing a New York City jacket. They are at Subway and maybe they are supporting a guns rights demonstration that happened near where they live. But I don't understand the whole concept of "guns save lives". I think it's stupid to have that big of a gun or a gun at all with you. I can see by the clock that it is close to about 1-2:25.
All the people at subway are protesting about how guns save lives so they protests with their guns with them. After the protest they're grabbing some food. The protestors are wearing guns save lives stickers. Maybe they're showing the people who work at subway that having the guns in the store ins't so scary.
This looks like a rest stop and people are eating subway because it looks like people from all over are stopped eating lunch. Also there is a sign that says pre-order pickup and the workers are making sandwhiches
This picture is taken in a Subway shop. There is a long line of people waiting to order their subs and three attendants are behind the counter taking orders. Two men with their back to the camera are carrying rifles. The man with the black coat seems to be the guardian of the little boy in the blue and green jacket. The boy is looking at the chips on the rack. The rifle the man is carrying is loaded with bullets yet the person himself seems harmless without the gun. Many of the customers have an orange sticker pasted on their shirts. I can make out the word "save" on the sticker, perhaps the people are coming from a protest about guns.
To me, it is almost evident that a gun rights demonstration or convention has happened near this Subway restaurant, as you can see a gun on the back of one man, and two men and a kid wearing a sticker that reads "guns save lives." I can also see that the people are very calm, so there is no violence going on whatsoever, which means this was a calm and peaceful demonstration or convention for gun rights.
Yes I agree that its most likely a convention for gun rights. How do you feel about the topic? Again I agree with what you said
I know for a fact that their at subway , and if you look closely you'll see a sticker that says "guns save lives". I think their trying to prove that it's not guns that kill people, it's people with guns that kill people.
I saw the sticker as well and I agree that they're in a subway. Based off what I'm seeing in the picture and the little boy, I think it may just be an organization coming in for a bite to eat or they could be holding a fundraiser of some sort.
I think that this picture is of two men that are dressed up to campaign that the guns save lives and are good because of the sticker the man in the right is wearing. I think they are in a place were the use of guns is still in debate.
Hi @Marifer Gomez Verea -- thanks for your comment. What do you see that makes you say this is taking place where people do not agree on the use of guns?
I think this person is from the army thats why he has that hat and the weapon, and they are in subway.
I notice they are in subway making the line to order and theres an armed man and next to him there's a little kid with a hat. I have no idea why the man is armed but maybe there is something going on.
There are people ordering food in what seems to be a Subway. There are two men that have pro guns stickers. A man has a gun on his back they all seem relaxed. These people may have got hungry while participating in a march and decided to get something to eat.
In this picture they are in subway and I think that thay are in someplace that is cold because how are they dressed. Also a men has a gun and I think that it is to protect the people.
Why do you think he brought a gun into the store? What do you think the stickers are for? Why do you think he has a gun?
The picture seems to be taken in a subway in New York. The reason I say this is because of the workers uniforms and the concept of food also a kid is wearing a warm sweatshirt with the word York Printed probably it was cut off and says New York. There are three people wearing stickers that say "GUNS SAVE LIVES" and one is wearing an actual gun. I believe this to be a protest about the situation that happened last weekend about the shooting and these people are against gun control and are protesting the second amendment.
This is a very good inference and a good use of posers.
In this picture, I see people lined up to pick up food or order food at some sort of deli. A sign on the right side of the photo, advertising a sandwich, indicates that this is a Subway. There are three workers behind the counter preparing sandwiches, and everything looks to be normal with the exception of the man in the forefront of the photo who is carrying a gun. There is also a child in the photo who seems to be intrigued by the gun. Some of the people in the photo are wearing orange pins that say, "Guns save lives," and therefore I think that they might have been having a peaceful protest in the area. When I look closer at the photo, I can see that one person in the photo is wearing a t-shirt that says, "New York City," therefore leading me to the conclusion that this is taking place near New York City.
I think that they are on a march/protest that is pro guns, I think that because they have a sticker on their chest that says guns save lifes.
Great discussion. Many people believe these people are demonstrating on behalf of the right to bear arms, but some have differing opinions: @Maria Lutz thinks these men might have just returned from a firing range to have lunch, and @Mrs. Lang and students think they may be hunters. What more can we find?
The first thing I noticed about this photo was its setting. Judging by the employees behind the counter preparing sandwiches and the chip bags, it appears that this photo is taking place in a deli of some sort. I immediately took notice of the man carrying a very large gun. However, this is not an emergency situation. I know this because no one else in the photo looks panicked as they are going on with their daily lives. I also noticed that some of the men in this image are wearing orange pins that say "Guns Save Lives". Obviously, the men who are wearing these pins believe in the second amendment and the right to bear arms. Perhaps, this is a response to all of the recent talk about gun laws. The little boy in the image seems unfazed by the large firearm. Two possibilities as to why this may be came to my mind. Either the boy is too young to understand the concept of a firearm or he has been around firearms before. The man is also wearing a camouflage hat which indicates that he may be a hunter.
Hello, WGOITP!
After much insight, our class has come to somewhat of an agreement as to the setting and occasion of this picture. We believe the geographical location to lie somewhere within the contiguous United States or Canada, but most likely the U.S. We also think it is likely to be a northern state, due to the clothing exhibited by the patrons of the Subway Restaurant. Seeing such a large weapon in plain sight rules out most metropolitan areas, we believe, so the students are leaning towards anywhere from Northern Texas, to West Virginia, or the general northern states closer to the Canadian border. As for the occasion, we feel that the orange "Guns Save Lives" stickers present on at least two of the customers is a signal that either a gun rights gathering (counter-protest said one student) or gun show would be found nearby the premises of this Subway. One student who has attended gun shows said that it would not be uncommon to see someone walking around with such a weapon at a show, so perhaps this is a Subway restaurant housed in or near a convention center.
@Mr. Maynard's Class -- sounds like it has been a lively discussion! I'm curious -- what did your student see that made him or her say it might be a counter-protest?
We noticed that they are most likely at a Subway Restaurant. They must be in a state with lax gun laws because the man is able to carry his rifle into the restaurant in plain view. We think they could be in a state like Kentucky, obviously somewhere where it is cold as they are wearing winter clothing. The stickers that they are wearing say " Guns Save Lives" make us think they are coming from a gun show or convention or possibly a protest of gun laws. A few students observed they would feel uncomfortable if they walked into a Subway and saw this.
In this picture I can infer that is was taken at a subway and it is in a different country that speaks English. I can infer this because of the way the workers are dressed, what is in the place, and the ads on the wall. I can show that it is in a different country because of the guy that is holding a gun on his back and what he is wearing. Also, the man in green is wearing a sticker on his jacket that says “Guns Saves Lives”. This could be a sign that there are many gun supports in this country. I also see that everyone is dressed for colder weather not warmer.
What country do you think this picture was taken, if not in the United States?
This picture seems to be in the USA during a busy time due to having so many people in one place and the words on the chips are in English. This child seems to be holding a gun in his hand standing in front of what looks like a hunter or something along that line due to him having that orange sticker on his left-hand side of his jacket. No one seems to be looking at him funny or like “Oh crap this kid got a gun”. In this picture you can also find that there is one side to the prep line it's all empty. They could be going out of business or just super busy and ran out of things. You can also tell that this is a subway. In the top right-hand corner is a subway catering sign.
In this picture, I see something that is very controversial. The first thing I saw was how one of the guys are carrying a gun on his back. I also see that two of the men have stickers on them that say guns save lives, but if you look into the window where the prep line is you can see that everyone is wearing gun saves lives. I think that they are protesting about guns. I think that they are protesting in the United States because lately, we have been having many issues with guns.
There are a group of men that are buying stuff from subway. I know it's subway because of some of the posters. The men are carrying guns.
It looks like a subway, because of the type of uniforms that the workers are wearing. It also looks like they are in a cold place. We can observe the man that is in the line waiting for his turn with a gun in his back. We can infer that is a place where they can go hunt.
Why would they take their guns into the store? What do you think the stickers are for? What makes you think they are hunting? Do you think the little boy was hunting with them?
In this picture we can see the man who are fighting for what they think is good, the bear of arms amendment and they are getting a lunch. The place where the men and children are getting lunch is in a Subway, I would guess the the subway is somewhere on the northern part of the country, Colorado maybe. I can say this because the fact they are wearing clothes and they approve guns is not really common in all states in the US, Colorado has cold weather and isn't against guns. I can also see that the rifle is pointing at the kid and that is scary.
Putting aside the cold weather, why else do you think this picture was taken in Colorado? There are many other places in the United States where cold weather can be found.
This picture was taken at a subway restaurant and it shows men that have stickers that say guns save lives, so that is probably why the guy in the middle has that big gun and no one not even the little kid in front of the gun isn't surprised by it. I think they are probably going to a protest or were at one supporting guns or something like that.
In this image, there seems to be a large group of people at what looks like a subway. You can tell it's subway because of the worker's uniforms, how the place is set up, and there is a poster in the back that looks like it could say subway. There seems to be a kid who is trying to pick out a back of chips because he is there looking at a row of them. Near the back, there seems to be a soldier. You can tell because of his camo hat and he has a large gun on him. This could be because he is in the military serving in the area or visiting. I think he is fighting near the area because I don't think that soldiers would normally carry a what seems to be loaded gun when they are just visiting.
There are a group of men who clearly support gun control. They believe that guns save lives instead of taking lives. In some cases, they do save lives but in a lot, they take lives. I know this because they are holding assault rifles and have stickers on their shirts that say "guns save lives". It looks like could have just come back from a shooting range to get something to eat.
Thanks for your comment, @Maria Lutz. What did you see that made you say they may have just come from a shooting range, as opposed to a pro-gun demonstration, as many have stated?
Performative open carry in a Subway restaurant. The gun in the foreground and the orange "Guns Save Lives" stickers give it away. Child appears not to be associated with the armed men. I would immediately would leave a scene like this and let the management know why.
In this picture, I can see like a cafeteria, a lot of people and specifically one little boy beside two older guys with weapons. I think that what is going on is that the little kid is from a family with power and that is why he is accompanied by two bodyguards, he is waiting on the line to buy something from the cafeteria.
In this picture there is a guy who is carrying a gun in his back. I think he is just a soldier who stop by to a small store because he was hungry. There is a little kid who is staring at the gun because he is surprised.
In this picture, there is a man with a gun, and many people in what seems to be a cafeteria. I believe that this expresses the lack of gun control in the US where a rifle is endangering all of the people in the picture. Also, there are children which I find very imprudent.
I think this picture is taken in the USA because the man is casually carrying a riffle without a problem, also because the sign on the back is written in english. I think this picture was taken at a subway or something like that because of the sandwiches that are being prepared. The little kid is not scared or anything and no one seems to be bothered with the gun. The people in the cash register are wearing a green shirt so this might be subway even though I am not sure since it has been a long time since I was there.
I believe that the man is carrying a rifle because he is scared of the situation right now in the U.S. I am stating this because we can see that the man is entering a non-harmful place with a rifle.
I think that this is a shop where there are people protesting against the use of guns and gun laws in the USA and that's why they have their little orange tags on their shirts and I think that some of them are carrying guns around as part of the protest and the little kid staring at the gun is an impactful image where the child is completely exposed to a gun and no one says anything, which is part of the protest.
You have a different idea than many, which is that these people are protesting AGAINST guns, and that the little boy is a key part of the effort. What more can you find?
There are people in a Subway in which most of the people have something in common. Most of them support having guns since there are some guys with a sticker that says "Guns saves lives". There is also a man which is carrying a gun. Maybe they were in some type of protest in which they wanted to say that it is good to have the right to carry guns. The man with the gun brought the kid which might be his son to teach him his beliefs which is that it is good to have a gun. This is probably in the United States since it is a hot topic right now.
In this picture, there is a kid that is about to pick a bag of chips besides two guys withe guns (since in the US it is extremely easy to get guns).
What makes me say this is the fact that the guy with the gun has it in public with no problem at all, and the face the kid is making while staring at the chips.
I can also see it is 1:25
This is in a Subway (restaurant) in the United States, where pro-gun protesters stopped for some food. This is evident, as the one man in the foreground and another in the background have stickers saying "Guns Save Lives." It is also evident it is in the USA because it is where guns are a frequent matter of debate, there is someone with a hat which has the colors of the American flag, and there are Miss Vickers chips which are only sold in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
I love that you stated that they're pro gun protesters. That observation about the sticker is very important. What do you think about the child in this picture?
I think this a protest or a march about "guns save lives". I say this because they have a sticker that says "guns save lives" and this man has a gun in his back, but I don't think it is real or charged because people look very calm. I can also see that they are at the subway and there is a little kid holding hands with the man with the gun.
In the picture, a guy has a gun behind his back. There is a kid looking at it and he doesn't seem to be afraid or confused, he just looks curious. They are possibly in New York City because one of the customers have on a shirt that looks like it says NYC. The guy with the gun might be carrying it to show that people get scared of guns because of how people talk about them. He might be there to be on the news. On most of the people that is an orange circular pin that says "guns save lives," so that could be why the guy has the gun and it might be a rally.
Hi @Tony G. -- what did you see that made you say the man holding the gun might be trying to get attention from the press?
This is a group of hunters that are going to Subway to get a snack for either before or after hunting. They are wearing camo and have the orange badges that say "guns save lives," which will keep them from being shot. It is in a place where carrying unconcealed weapons is allowed.
Good morning, WGOITP!
We immediately noticed the rifle on the back of the man in the foreground. The entire class agrees that nobody is fazed by the presence of the large weapon. Even the child looking right at the barrel of the gun, or the chips- we're not sure- does not seem afraid or bothered by it. We first disagreed about the location of the scene, divided evenly between Canada, which we thought because it is a hunting destination, and it is cold in Canada, We observed people wearing jackets, and hats for cold weather. However, the rest believe this is Texas, because they can carry openly there, and some had cowboy hats. When we looked more closely at the stickers, and read their message, the idea changed somewhat. We speculate whether or not this could be a protest, or even a fundraiser supporting the right to have guns. They are clearly in favor.
Good morning to you, @Mr Franke's 4th Grade! Sounds like you have had a great discussion about the image and ideas have changed over the course of it. Keep it up!
We would like to add that we observed no women on the customer side of the counter. We think this may be indicative of the support for guns being more of a male thing...
In this picture, there are many people, in what seems to be, a deli. There are men with huge guns around them. I know that this isn't an emergency because no one seems panicked. Some of the men are wearing an orange pin that says, "Guns Save Lives." Therefore, I think this photo is a response to the recent gun violence and protest for and against laws. Next to one of gun holding men is a little boy. This boy does not seem affected at all by the huge gun right next to him. This leads me to conclude that the little boy has been around firearms since he was a baby. I believe these men might also be hunters because of their camouflage clothing. I find it quite odd that no one is even staring at the men with these huge guns, possibly because a lot of protesting has been happening in this town. I wonder what state, or country, this photo is located in; I would love to research their town's previous gun violence history.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment, @Cara M. Come back Thursday to find details on the specific location of the picture.
After analyzing the picture, it seems to take place at s subway sandwich restaurant because of the style of the room, the ads on the wall and the dress of the workers. It also seems to take place in a cold region in America or perhaps another country or territory who's primary language is english, because the ads on the wall are in english and everyone there except for the workers are dressed for cold weather. A man is walking into the shop with a gun on his back for an unknown reason, perhaps he's just demonstrating the right given to him by the second amendment.
I'd imagine that maybe it's some pro right to bear arms supporters picking up some food. Judging by the lack of reaction by the people this is pretty common in this town so this town probably has a lot of pro gun supporters. The child is probably the son or nephew of the man with the gun on his back. The men within the picture all seem to be wearing an orange sticker and hunting gear suggested this is a more rural area of the US, specifically the southern US. The place where they're eating is definitely a subway sandwich store. Maybe the men could possibly be coming from a hunting event or competition.
@Jason Oliva: while many people think these people are coming from a rally or some kind of pro-gun event, you're saying this may just be a regular day in a community of gun supporters. Thanks for the comment. What more can you find?
This picture shows a man carrying some type of rifle in a Subway as you can see a "Subway Catering" sign in the right side of the photo. The men appear to come from a pro gun law supporters as the man in green is wearing a sticker with "Guns Saves Lives" .
Mar 12/18
What is going on? Civilians are in subway, in America. A man is carrying an ak-47.
What do you see that makes you say that? I see an ak-47. Used inference to determine this was a subway. Eg: glass counter, posters, etc.
It is 1:25
In the image, there seems to be a group of gun control-protesters buying food from Subway, perhaps from a break at a protest or rally. The photo suggests that the people are living in a cooler region due to the customers' heavy jackets and clothing. While there may be regular customers towards the front of the shop, the image focuses on the men near the back of the line, one with an assault rifle on his back, and others with an orange sticker labeled "Guns Save Lives".
Great inferences! What do you think these people are protesting and why do they need a gun to do it? Also, nice comment about the clothing they are wearing. but where specifically do you think these people are? Also what does the man with the gun and the sticker all mean to the picture?
In this picture there is people standing in a Subway like they may be ordering food. However, there is a man with an assault rifle on his back. The man must be protesting the 2nd Amendment which gives us the right to bear arms. It looks as if hes going over the top with his protest and dramatically carrying his weapon into a public place to scare people into agreeing with his beliefs.
This is a great inference of what is going on in the picture! Do you think this man has a right by the 2nd Amendment to carry a gun into a public place? And what state or country is he in where a protest would be allowed to go this far?
In this picture it looks like theey are in the U.S or some englush speaking country by reading the signs in the back ground they are in a subway and i can tell this because i work at a subway. 2 men seem to have some kind of campaign button in there coat and one man has a aks74u type rifle on his back . perhaps they just came from a pro-gun rally
In this picture, I see many men standing inside of Subway, one younger boy is also there. One has a gun while many others are wearing stickers that say "guns say lives", which makes me believe they just left some sort of protest or rally concerning gun laws.
There's clearly a man carrying a fully loaded assault rifle. He's also probably ordering a nice sandwich from Subway with that little kid.
What else do you see? Why do you think no one looks panicked?
We think this takes place either out of California (where we are) or another country because the man is openly wearing his gun in public. It must be normal since no one looks alarmed. We don't think he is coming from hunting since he should have food to eat instead of visiting a sub shop. There may be some kind of meeting or protest based on the men wearing stickers on their jackets.
1
We also thought the gun could be for hunting, but your idea that they wouldn't go to a sub shop for food seems logical.
Good morning @Ms. Moore and her class at Eagle Rock Elementary! Lots of good thinking -- wondering about where exactly this may be taking place and reasoning why these people may be in the restaurant. What more can you find?
You did a great job of using your prior knowledge of laws within an individual state to make an inference about the setting of the photo. Awesome work!
This picture depicts a group of people who seem to have come from some pro-guns protest, seeing that they have a sticker that says ¨guns save lives¨. Their attire seems to give off that the weather is pretty cold outside, seeing that they are wearing coats. They are at what looks like a subway (from the setup) ordering food. They also might be from the south because of the cowboy-ish hat the man is wearing. South and pro-gun people seem to correlate.
In this picture the men have guns and are wearing stickers that say, "Guns save lives." It appears they are in a subway, so they probably stopped for a lunch break after protesting. It appears to be cold outside by the way they are dressed.
Add class comment…
Thanks for the great comments, everyone. Many people are saying these people seem to be coming from a pro-gun rally. What do you see that makes you say that?
The stickers that three men are wearing made us come to that conclusion.
1. In the U.S.A., several men supporting the “Guns Save Lives” movement head to Subway for lunch.
2. A man wears a rifle across his back. Several men around him wear “Guns Save Lives” stickers. This is definitely Subway based on the layout and design of the restaurant, and it’s most likely in the United States because of a red, white and blue toque, the English on the signs, and the fact that Canadians aren’t allowed to carry guns openly unless your job allows it. It’s lunch time because the clock says 1:25 and a Subway wouldn’t be that busy at 1:25 in the morning.
In this picture, i see many people in what seems to be a sandwich ship. What stands out to me is the man in the camouflage hat with a gun on his back. I also see a by next to the man who might be his son. The man with the gun may be a hunter. The gun he was using looks large, which enforces the point that he may be a hunter
What about this image leads you to believe that the little boy is the man's son? Using this knowledge, what can you infer about the little boy's views regarding guns?
I think it is a nra convention in New York. I think this because i see a woman wearing glasses and a NY university sweatshirt. ad a lot of the people are wearing "guns save lives" pins
A man is in the line to get the sandwich and there is a gun back of him. Two men are also standing in a line and there is a sticker which is said guns save lives. I think that they are doing some project so they brought a gun to give a sense that guns are not bad.
1
That makes sense. All we could see was the "saves".
Hi @Anna Shin -- can you say more about what you mean by a "project?"
Some people who protest against gun control go to the Subway to buy some food. The decoration is like Subway. And there is a people carrying a gun while the other two stick the notes "Guns save lives" on their body.
Why do you think these men are carrying guns around? Does it look like violence is about to begin? Are they just protesting? Or do you think it is normal to carry guns where they live?
I think that this are protestors from the Second Amendment since they have a plaque that says that guns save lives. They are all eating in a Subway and one of them has a gun but has no intention of shooting people.
I think that they are in the states or in a country where English is the main language because there is a sign in English plus there is a hat that is USA themed colors. I also believe this is in a Subway because of the way the restaurant looks. I can tell because of the worker's uniforms and the way the sandwich station is set up. There is also a sign in the background that has Subway's signature font and colors. I believe the man with the gun is making a statement. No one appears to be afraid so I highly doubt anyone was harmed.
I see in this picture first that they have red stickers on their shirts that say "Guns save lives". They may be stating that guns are good, join the NRA. When I first saw this picture I thought the little boy had the rifle. I soon realized the man in front of him, possibly his dad has it around his back. The little but looks like an average boy. He has a Starwars hat on and a big warm puffy jacket. All these people are on a subway getting some food. The woman talking to the lady making her sandwich had a New York City shirt on. So I think they are probably in the US. All the people in this picture and the workers do not look frightened that there is a gun in a subway. I think there is an organization to state people should be able to carry guns anywhere they go.
I think that they are in the subway line to order after being in a protest that apparently is trying to promote the use of guns. I think this because I see the uniforms the staff making the baguettes are wearing and they look a lot like the ones at subway as well as a poster on the wall. I think they were in a protest about gun violence because there's a man with a gun and people in the line with chest pins that say "guns save lives." Everyone including the little kid behind the man with the gun seem to look okay with the idea of carrying guns with you.
I believe that these people are either getting ready, have just finished or are in the action of protesting about gun control and how they "save lives". After they finished protesting they went to Subway to get some food after the exhausting protest. I know this because the Subway looks like a regular subway and because everybody is wearing stickers that say "Guns save lives".
I think that these guys are protesting against gun control laws and he wants to prove that people can be walking with a gun and cause no harm.
In this image, I think all the men here are protesting in favor of guns. I believe this because of the sign of "guns save lives" in a man's chest. They are probably hungry and are stopping in a subway. The little kid in front is either very hungry or is sad to see people protest in favor of guns.
Thanks for your comment @Alvaro M. You're noticing the little boy seems to be emotionally disconnected from the scene somehow -- what do you see that makes you say that?
I believe this is a movement about gun control and how guns keep you safe. It seems like they are in the US because of the shirt the kid with the glasses is wearing which says New York and the beanie of the kid next to him that seems to have the colors of the American flag. They are in a subway making line because the people behind the counter are preparing baguettes.
In this picture there are people at a subway, theres a man with a gun and there are people that have a sticker that says "guns save lives". I think that outside on the street there are people protesting about guns and its time to eat so people went inside the subway to eat
In this photo, there is a man standing in a Subway. He is carrying a gun, what some people would call an assault rifle, across his back. The magazine of the gun is fully loaded and ready to fire. There are men standing near his with "Guns Save Lives" stickers on their shirts. There is a child standing next to the man with the gun, who is looking at it carefully as if he is scared of it.
My students and I feel that today's photo represents some group of people who have possibly just came from a protest/campaign. We assume that the picture has been taken a region that has cold weather, and a region where people have the right to bear arms in public. The red badges on some people say, "Guns Save Lives" So there may be a connection to the recent topics of gun control. These are ideas from grade 6-8 students!
Thanks to @Michelle Dow and her middle school students, who are making a connection between the picture and current events. What more can you find?
I think what's going on is that some people just got done protesting about gun control and how they are safe to people and got hungry and went to Subway to get some food. I also think the man is trying to prove that someone can have a gun and not shoot people.
about 10 people in subway one man has a gun strapped on his back there is a kid which is looking at chips and alot of the people have "guns save lives" on there shirts which makes me think the came back from a valley
I like how you observed that there were 10 people
1
nuh uh I counted like 15
Many adults support gun control at a Subway by carrying guns and wearing buttons saying 'Guns Save Lives'. There is also a small child who looks very uncomfortable, AND WHO WOULDN'T BE? This photo should take place in the United States as we are currently having an issue with gun safety and gun control.
It looks like this person is at subway with a gun but there are people at subway that have this pin on there clothes that say save lives so that makes me think that due to the Americas shooting these people want gun control were ever they go
In this picture, it seems that there is a person with a gun on his back. To his right, there is another person who has a western hat on, so it must be over in the US. The words in the picture are also in English, further supporting that claim. The place this is in seems to be a Subway, as well. By the looks of everyone's faces, this day is as normal as any other day.
In this picture, I see that there many people in what look to be ordering food at subway or a school cafeteria. I notice that there is an obvious man that has a gun around his body. I also see that the two other men in the picture are wearing these orange badges associated with the NRA that says "Guns Save Lives." Everyone else seems to be acting like they are calm or like the guns aren't even there. I've also noticed that maybe one person in this picture is interested in why the men have guns. There is a little boy who is staring at the gun very closely. I think this man is protecting the school cafeteria. The reason I think this because there has been many school shootings.
I know this is in America due to the fact that people want gun control due to the recent shootings. The weapon seems to be an AR, and their buttons say something about Guns save lives. Also, I have seen this image recently as a meme.
@Keegan Heintz seems like you're contextualizing this image based on current events in the US, but also thinking about how this image was recontextualized into current internet culture as a meme.
What more can we find? Let's keep up the discussion!
it looks like they are promoting guns, to support that theory you can see other people wearing buttons saying "Guns Save Lives"
Hello @Amanda H! Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Tell us more -- what do you see that makes you say the man with the gun could be the child's father?
The AK 47 has a fully-loaded clip with about 30 rounds in it. One can't tell if there is a round in the chamber. The gun's safety is off and the muzzle is pointed at the child's "kill zone". With an errant snag on the trigger, a high-powered bullet could tear through the child and probably ricochet into another innocent bystander.
I'm assuming the child is his son, based upon their proximity. Based upon the number of other people in the frame (including the workers) who don't seem to feel as though there is an active shooter/terrorist situation, I'm guessing we are looking at a 2nd amendment protest stunt. The "Guns Save Lives" buttons kind of give it away.
Except for the workers, all of the people in the frame appear to be white males.
@Tom Wanamaker thanks for contributing your background knowledge and ideas on the image. You've provided a lot of details surrounding the gun, and the demographics and relationships of the figures in the image. What do you see that makes you say this could be a "2nd amendment protest stunt"?
I think any time someone is walking around in a public place conspicuously displaying an assault rifle it's an attempt to provoke a response.
I have a brother-in-law who carries a holstered handgun pretty much everywhere he goes. For him, he is making a statement about his 2nd amendment rights but also trying to pique his more liberal in-laws. (He lives in a gated community and usually has it on in his home when we arrive to visit.) I believe he also carries based upon a fear of criminal behavior that is heightened by excessive exposure to Fox News and NRA propaganda.
He is diligent about gun safety and would not approve of how the man in the picture is handling his AK 47.
In this picture, it looks like that they are all waiting to get some subway! I think this because everyone is waiting in line to get food. A few other things I see is a guy with a gun and a sticker that says "Guns Saves Lives" This makes me think that they are protesting gun laws.
Well, this photo is clearly taken at subway. These men and women are possibly Republicans who are taking a break from sharing their ideas on gun safety. The main reason why I think that these people are Republicans is that the man farthest away is wearing a Trump visor. The guy in the foreground has a gun on his back, which also means that he is pro-gun.
1. it looks like there was a march or something about gun violence and the gun control law. obviously these people are in subway getting some lunch. they support the right to have a gun and to not change the laws about it.
2. i say this because two men are wearing stickers that say “guns save lives”. another man has a gun on his back, to me that says that he is supporting the right to bare arms.
3. i notice that there is a little kid, standing with the adults that have a gun or wearing a sticker. assuming he is with them, i’m guessing that his thought are pro gun because of the adults opinions.
@jess sounds like you think the figures in this image are all like-minded in terms of gun control. What do you see that makes you say the child's opinion conforms with the opinions of the adults?
This picture as stated by many, has been taken in America. We can infer this due to the Subway chain, and everything written in English. The men carrying the gun is wearing a camouflage hat, whilst the man next to him is wearing a cowboy hat. A strange coincidence is that majority of the people in the store are Caucasian. In addition there are also 45 states in America that allow open carry. That is, with brief regulations depending on the area. The fact that there is a lot of controversy on gun laws in United states, these men are protesting for their ideologies on guns. Multiple of them are wearing badges that indicate " Guns saves lives", which reveals their alternate viewpoint on carrying firearms. That there should not be more being enacted because it will in some way "regulate" their usage on these specific weapons. Which will possibly restrict them from their own self- protection in public, or anything along those lines.
The photo takes place in North America, more specifically a subway. I think that this is America because gun laws have recently become a much more talked about subject. As well the signs are all in english, and there isn't a french translation underneath so it isn't Canada. It is fairly crowded so we can infer that it is taking place during the day, likely lunch time. A few people are wearing Guns Save Lives badges which indicates that they are a cohort of like minded individuals protesting gun laws. The child is paying more attention to the food, however due to the close proximity to the gun holder the child likely feels comfortable with the man, perhaps a parent or family friend? The people in the building do not seem concerned with the gun holder, therefore the man must have entered the building calmly and most likely with all of these other people which indicates that only the workers saw the gunman as a new thing. The other people likely support him carrying the gun based on their badges. The man doesn't seem to pose a threat to anyone in the building based on the occupants calm expressions and his nonthreatening posture.

What more can we find?
In this picture, Without talking about what stands out first, it seems to take place at a subway, assumingly in the U.S, this being because of the New York City sweatshirt being worn and the red, white, and blue hat also being worn in the photo. With the recent uproar in gun debate, my eyes automatically go to the gun, worn on the back of the man on the right side of the photograph. Although it's hard to assume the correct meaning of this photo and the meaning of the man carrying a gun, I think that it could either be the simple act of showing the rights of the average human, or is could be a protest against people who have recently been pushing for the banning of guns.
