They might be taking rubbish to do a toy or something like that. Or maybe they are looking somothig that seem interesting for them, a letter or any paper. Other option is that may it were a war, and they are in the ruins. We think it is related to some of the SDG's like, for example, 'end of poverty', 'sustainable cities and comunities', 'responsible consumption and production' and maybe 'peace, justice and strong institutions'. Because it seems like the childs are poor, or for example because a citie with this in it cant be sustainable or have responsible consuption or production, and in case of the war, the SDG of peace.
In this picture I can see two children searching for items in debris .Being the fact that both children appear to be having on a uniform I assume that the debris there rummaging through it most likely there school. In there country it seem to be issues or clashes between religion which is what cause the school to get burned down in the first place . But what I find most Interesting is the fact that the children don't look scared ,bothered or even shocked . It's like there use to seeing this kind of thing happening.

In the photo I see a little foreign girl and a little foreign boy searching through the debris, makes me think of how we as Americans take things for granted. We do not understand how good we have it, we get to have an education very easily. While in other countries it is very hard to get an education or to even learn due to many different reasons. It seems like in the picture their school has been burned down and all of their academic achievements have been burned away with the school and the children are looking for the remains of all of their past work. If this happened in the United States you probably would not see a student looking for their work after the fire but instead face filled with enjoyment because they got out of doing work for awhile.

We think that there was a bomb in a school maybe this was in Syria.We thinhat there could have also that the house burnt down and the kids were looking for important paperwork and that the kids lost thier parents and belongings.

I think that the picture takes place in a not so wealthy environment. The kids were about 7 years old and at school. There was a fire at the school and the kids were in lunch because the girl had the water. They ran from school. After the fire was over they came back and found burnt papers and broken branches.

I think that in this picture a boy and a girl in a old burned house of some kind. I can also see that they are wearing school cloths ago they are probably after school went to shop to buy the smoothie that the girl is holding but after the shopping the find this old burned house. They started looking around the burned place. After few minutes they find this burned peace of map or book and started looking what they could see in it.
I think it is at the end of the school, two children are on their way home. When they pass their favorite playground, they discover that the playground was burned. What makes me say that is I saw two children are wearing uniform, there’re ice cream corn and many plastic bottles folded together with milkshake in it. It's odvious that the house was burned since the wood has turned into charcoal, papers had brown edges, and cups and mugs were rusted. In this image, I think that these two children who are maybe siblings were intrigued by what looks to be maps or what's left of an atlas in the ashes of a burned down building. The building could have been in their town, such as library. I think that one day when they came into town with their family they saw had had happened and went to look around. Both of the children have a snack as if they were eating out, meaning they are only looking through the pages for amusement, and not grieving what had happened to the building. What i noticed right away was that the little children where both handiling what looks to be a burnt paper i see that it looks to be a map but with further examination i saw it to be what looks like a childrens paper due to the childish pictures my second thought is that those children look really dressed nice so this couldnt be there house they wouldt have enough time to get dressed and run out from the blazing house so i started to look at it some more and i noticed some cups and im thinking hey i dont have that much cups so what could this mean either these people had alot of cups or that isnt even a house then something popped in my mind how could a parent or guardian trust there kids to go near a sight where fire had just finished blazing out from so it must have been atleast a day after the fire but still if i had children you would not see me letting them go near a place that just been burned so it must have value to it and thats when it popped in my head either it is there house or it is there school
In this photo I can see that there had just happened a fire which burned down the house or building. You can only see the remaining of the use to be house, everything is in charcoal, and many things were just left in ashes. the one thing that survived of the fire was some mugs as you can see and the paper the two kids are calmly looking at. As I was looking through this tragic photo I saw some very interesting thing. One thing I am most sure of that this burned rumble is definitely a house. As you see there are mugs everywhere, around the young boy and girl. They are well dressed, and do not one spectacle of ash on them. They might have been at school that's why they are clean.The two kids are by themself in the ruck without parents so probably the parents were caught in the fire and went down with. The burned paper could have been there coloring pages. In front of the boy there is a vase like frame that could also indicate why it might be there home.

When I look at the picture over and over again I think about the location. The location seems to be in a different country other than the US and has had a recent natural disaster that caused damage like to the site. In the area there are two children one boy and one girl that are looking through the rubble and mess. Its seem that they were not emotionally scared and that everybody made it out safe and sound.
I think that these two kids came from school because it looks like they're wearing a uniform that a school would make them wear and so it also looks like this could be a school because it looks like their picking up homework or some type of worksheets it doesn't look like this took place in the US it looks like it could be mexico or another country these are also probably be there old school before it got burnt down or it could be their old house because there is alot of cups on the floor.

I see a little boy and a little girl, there both probably in elementary school, ages 4-8. The kids seems to be clean and health,and they couldn't be in this mess cause the boy have ice cream and the girl have water or milk shake, so HOW would they get these in this type of situation. Also I think there brothers and sisters. The kids probably came out from school and was coming home, and instead of seeing a home.... they see broken...burnt place. Plus under those paper the kids are looking through there's a bit of something that hot, so its has to been a fire. Also there's ashes, burn't papers or homework, broken/burnt mugs,and burnt wood.
While i was looking at this picture, i had noticed that there are burnt pieces of what seems to look like trees. You could also see that one of the things that the children were looking at was a BURNT book, further concluding that it was most likely a fire that caused this destruction. I can also theorize that the children were there to recover or even help out with trying to rebuild the already destroyed area. Over all, the children look well of in clean clothes and what seems to look like a drink and some kind of ice cream bar, with this it probably means that the children are there to help out in the recovery of a recent fire of some sort.

In the photo, there are two kids, one boy one girl who are checking out what appears to be the remains of a building that was once on the very ground but went up in flames. I think that the area they are in could be a park, they were walking home from school and stopped to get ice cream and lemonade in the park when they saw the scene of the incident. Perhaps they knew the place very well and were depressed about a hangout being destroyed. Like some of the other commenters said, it could have been a restaurant, due to the mugs and papers. I also believe the building was a wooden one, the wood burnt out quick, leaving nothing to feed the fire, that's why the rails were not scorched too bad, and the mugs did not melt. Also, there is a lot of natural light getting in, suggesting it was a one-story building and the roof collapsed in the midst of the mayhem.

I can infer that in this picture a storm came through their school. I believe this because first of all, I appears that concrete is scattered along the ground. Maybe a huge storm knocked down the school. However, I don't think that was all. Maybe, lightening struck some of the wood - making it catch fire. From what I observed I infer that the two kids were at school and then came back to the mountain of rubble which might have been at one point their house. They are probably scavenging the results for resources. I also infer that the place had been burned for the edges of the paper are crisped and burned.

The reason i say this is because not only do the little children appear to be in uniforms but also the fact that there is burnt paper on the floor, this burnt paper could be paper that was classwork or something. This picture made me visualize a terrible fire that just happened at an elementary school. The tables, chairs, cups, books, and everything else were burned to small pieces. I very much agree on your hypothesis, it was obviously a fire due to the charred objects and burnt paper and I believe this a a school as as well due to the children with uniforms possibly looking at their own school that caught on fire or someone had burned. I also agree this takes place in Asia, however I disagree with the fact that they are poor, I mean they have their uniforms on so we can infer their school has enough money for the uniforms as well as the books. I also think this was caused by a forest fire, I mean what kind of a pyromaniac would do something like this.
I disagree with this comment I think that these kids are trying to learn about what was once in this now burned place, rather than are gathering the left overs. I think the kids are are trying to learn something because I see that they are gingerly picking up the papers and examining them. I see that there are burned logs that were reduced to logs and think that this was some kind of library or school type building. The cups could have been from a cafeteria or they could have been from a meeting that was being held where this place used to be before it burned.
I agree with you that there was a a fire in an elementary school. I think this because I know that in elementary kids start school as early as 5 years old and these children look very young. Although these children might not be in poverty, we also have to think that they can be in poverty, and their parents just work hard for them to be happy. On Saturday , this building was burned to the floor and these two kids were looking at the remains. My first thought was that there was a hurricane because it looks like the school was torn apart, but on the other hand, I think it was more like a fire because things are dark and ashy.

If you are looking closely at the picture there are cups and papers. So, this could be a kitchen or a school cafeteria. However, looking at the children they are looking clean when you are looking at the clothes and the hair. This timing could be in the afternoon when school is over. Probably, the kids used to live there or live nearby the place. Since the fire is done that could be the time that school was over. Seeing them in their uniforms and looking prepared makes me believe that they could be at school visiting an old property ground that used to be maybe a portable that got burned recently since it’s not cleaned up yet and because the burned up paper laying on the ground looks like a lot of written school work. This looks like this could be during their lunch hour/break.

It looks as it could have a coffee chop, or a factory of some kind, based on the amount of burnt and ruined cups, and the blueprints on the ground. But considering that they are tin cups, this could have been some kind of camp or something. Even better, it could have been a construction site, where they used blueprints, and more durable cups. I Think that this building was burned to the floor and this two kids are looking at the remaining of what was left. It could also be a tsunami because it looks like a humid weather, but I think it was more like a fire because things are dark
I agree with this because if you look closely then you can see the rim of the paper it looks black and burned and the girls are looking at what is was left of the paper. You can see there was a fire because you can see there are thing that are nothing but ashes because when thing burn then it's just ashes left and they are like black and white.

I agree that the school has been burned down because what seems to be ashes on the ground everywhere and charcoal the paper although looks like it was barely touched. I also think that after this place burned down the kids decided to investigate what was burnt and what wasn't.
I think that while these kids are definitely not homeless or poor, due to their clothing, they are in fact looking for something. My guess is their home burned during a fire. I infer this from the pieces of paper they are touching, which have burnt edges. I can also see the girl is drinking from what seems to be dirty cups she probably just picked up.
I agree with you because it seems like they are looking for what was left of the fire. In that search they found some papers that belong to them but now they are halfway burned. The cup might be one of the things that was left from the fire because it is dirty. I believe the kids just got out of school because of their uniforms and they came home to find it burned down.

it looks like there is a burnt down building and the kids (who look like they are siblings) are investigating it. here is what i think happened. the kids were walking to school one day to find that their school has been burnt down to ash. the ice cream in the boy's hand and the shake in the girl's hand probably means that the stopped to get it on their way to school. orrrr, it could be the other way around. the kids could be walking home from school and find that their house is burnt down. i'm not really sure.

I think that the building that burned down might have been a school which these girls attended. After the fire, the students went back to the site and these girls found some of the papers that they had been working on. These papers should have burned in the flames but perhaps they weren't that close to the flames. There are two small children in an area of ash and debris. The two children seem to be of Latin America descent. The boy is eating an ice cream cone the flavor seems to be vanilla. The girl seems to be drinking a clear liquid from 11 cups stacked together. I believe they are brother and sister because of the way they are near each other. It seems they are going through things that have been burned away because the girl is touching and moving burned paper. I know that everything has been burned because of how charred and ashy everything in the image is. I believe it is all thats left of their house because I can't see any other reason why they would let children walk among the debris of the house.

As I am reading some of these comments I can't help but disagree with them about how it's in the current. I agree with you about the children visiting their old school paying their respects and mourning the tragedy; even scooping out valuables still left in the fire, however I, like you, do not think the fire has happened recently enough. Especially since the little girl has a cup in her hand and is sipping completely relaxed. Their body language tells me there is no danger therefore I know this fire has not happened recently.
The kids are wearing uniforms and they are young. They look like they live in some kind of war zone/territorial site and they are looking through burnt buildings for some finds that could be useful. They seem use to it.
Why are these kids wearing uniforms? Did they attend a school in the area that was destroyed by war? Also, what exactly are these kids looking for that could be useful in a war setting?

After looking closely at the image, I believe That the kids are exploring this is what I think is happening. The details I see that led me to this decision are kids looking at a paper that is on fire. I also see that they have like a ice cream and a drink, this is important because people have been going crazy in the US.

My guess is maybe their home or school was burnt down and they are trying to find some kind of papers that they can actually read. I see cups around there too. They are also in what looks like school uniforms. So maybe they got back from school or somewhere and looking trying to find something that means something to them. The. papers that they are looking at look like drawings so maybe it carries a lot of value to it.

The details I see that led me to this decision are that the paper that the kids are holding it looks burned also in the middle of the paper there is still a little bit of fire. In this picture, I see two small children, possibly around the ages of four and six, searching through what may be a landfill or the remains of a building damaged by perhaps an earthquake. They appear to be in some sort of school uniform, and the boy has an ice cream cone while the girl has a drink of sorts. They could be searching for something that could help educate them, or they could be searching for anything of value. Maybe they're poor and have to look in the rubble for something that will help them survive.

The scenario I imagine for this picture is two children whose old school building was burnt down and they are going through it to see what they can find before another one, or something else, is built over it. I say it's their old school building because they are looking at maps, and you can see little book-like items. And I believe it was burnt down purposefully due to the fact is that they were just "chilling" in the ashes.

In this image, I believe that a fire has taken place. My inference arises from what appears to be burned paper and wood. It appears that the children are examining one of the burned pieces of paper. There are two kids in this picture. One of them is eating the last of his ice cone while the other one is drinking out out of 11 plastic cups stacked together. They seem to be surrounded by a previously burnt. I believe that it use to be some sort of soccer field because there is burnt goalie and a soccer ball hidden in the ash. The fire seemed to have burnt some drawings half way until it was put out by the children. The reason I say this is because usually a piece of paper is burnt completely before it stops burning. The children may have been the ones to put out the fire and are now analyzing the paper.

They are squatting amidst a pile of rubble and what looks like charred wood and cans along with broken tile. The little boy is holding an ice cream cone and the little girl is holding a cup from which she is drinking out of. They seem to be wearing a school uniform (or at least the girl is) which is very clean. You could infer from the fact that their clothes are very clean and they are eating food that they are passing by something that was burned down. It probably wouldn't be their house because if it was I don't think they would be eating ice cream while looking at it, they would probably seem more distressed. It could've been a nearby building, or maybe a school. It seems like the children are looking at a coloring book or something like a fairy tale as you can see the head of what looks like a cartoon character.

In this picture, I see two school children (probably around 10 years old), who appear to be sorting through all the rubbish a recent fire had just caused. I say that there has just been a fire because everything seems to have been burned. Th girl and the boy seem to the only other colors amid the sea of burned objects that have turned black. I am not completely sure, but I am being led to believe that this may have been a terrorist attack.

I can distinguish some burnt pieces of paper on the floor and the kids look very concentrated on them, so that's why I say this. I can also see wood that was burnt, which means that there was probably a fire.

I believe that these kids are from some part in Southeastern Asia and are looking at the remains of a burnt house. You can see house materials and the metal foundation of the house. They seem not anxious so it isn't their own home.

Based on the evidence found in the photo, I think this is the scene of a fire. The large rods are charred and the papers are burnt at the edges. The chains and rods on the ground must mean that a playground caught on fire and burned to the ground. Because the young girl is wearing clothing that closely resembles a school uniform, I think it was a school's playground that caught on fire.

The kids look like they're in a waste dump looking through looking for things to do. The skin tone of the children and the school clothes they're wearing suggests they're from a Central American countries, my guess being El Salvador or Guatemala. The girl is probably the older brother to the boy and they're looking for stuff to do since they live in a rural area. The boy is eating ice cream and the girl is drinking something suggesting that they went to like a corner store where you can buy a drink or get ice cream from someone who sells it out of an ice cream stall common in Latin American countries
