The conservative speaker at U of C did not intentionally grab the woman he was trying to get his papers back from the woman who took them because apparently people like her can't bear to hear a differing opinion. Wait till she gets to the real world instead of being insulated by her ilk where everyone agrees with themselves. Such sheltered young children these college kids are.

And another way to escape the crowds at Museums is to become a member -- nothing beats breezing through them with next to no traffic.

Enduring the crowds and December holiday gridlock on the sidewalks, while still enjoying the tourists' boost to the NYC economy! Tune of “Jingle Bell Rock” Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell stop Crowd moving slow wherever we go Talking and gawking while seeing the sights Pointing out all the trees and lights Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell stop We can’t move far wherever we are Tension prevention is what we all seek So we don’t all freak Skip the peak days, try the weekdays To sit with old Saint Nick Maybe night time is the right time To hit windows for that selfie pic We can get to the Met for their great tree Then go online to shop Sigh and accept that there’s so much we won’t see That's the jingle bell stop

Thanks, N. Smith, and really – it felt like I was just rearranging and paraphrasing the fun and images in the article today. I’m so glad NY Today doesn’t give us a totally cheerful or happy lead story every single day.. But every now and then, like today as an example, they seem to be having such a good time reporting a feature subject, and the joy can be infectious!

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason to why the sphere wasn't brought back to the WTC site sooner could have been due to it being a reminder of what originally stood there especially since it was a remnant of it and making so many ask this question, "If the Twin Towers were so important, then why weren't they just simply rebuilt instead of being replaced by what's there now?"

I always felt that what remained of the Twin Towers should have been stabilized and cleaned, and the area made into a grassy plain, so that they would have been for us what Coventry Cathedral is for the British -- a reminder of the grandeur that was. But real estate being what it is -- . As for providing diapers to the poor: Honey, if you can't afford a diaper, you can't afford a child. Wait, go to school, find a job and work at it a while, get a reliable life partner, and then have a child. And use birth control so that you don't have more than you can afford. I'm all for taxing rich CEOs more -- they can afford to spare a few hundreds of millions -- but leaving out birth control as a way to get out of this inequality thing is a big mistake.

If the Times keeps printing that the Met Museum entrance at 81st St. is less crowded than the main entrance it won't be for much longer.

What about the Lasker Rink?
