In all his wisdom, Dolan places the fox in the hen house and then is "surprised at the backlash." I mean, how dumb can a person possibly be?

Dolan & Thomas deserve each other. No one else does...

Minor nit. Photo caption has IT as "coach" of the Liberty. He is that team's President. The lead of the article has it right.

Dolan does not recognize that he lacks the skills to build a successful team franchise, so it's not surprising that he can't recognize that Thomas also lacks those same skills.

Dolan, as everyone knows, is the problem not the solution. As long as Dolan is at MSG the entire corporation will continue to make poor decisions. Fix the problem.

Oh puh-LEEEEEEZE! Do Zeke and "Guitar Jimmy" think we're THAT stupid?

When ones primary state is delusional, one is usually surprised by reality.

Dolan remains brain-dead, what John Fogerty called "a fortunate son."
Isaiah Thomas only added to his legacy of losing since his Hall of Fame career on the court.

What a sad state of affairs that such a pathetic little man is in
charge of the Knicks.

James Dolan is the best argument there is for a confiscatory inheritance tax.

Dolan. Isiah. Who's the bigger idiot (and liar)? They deserve each other.

You couldn't make this up.

Still a misogynist; still a creep.

Time for the NBA to pull a Donald Sterling moment and show James Dolan the door.

"Worse than I imagined," says Mr. Dolan. This summarizes the problem, I'm afraid. Please, Mr. Dolan: that you can't imagine that New York fans might have a problem with Isiah Thomas, the contamination of sexual harassment, the verdict of a federal jury, your repeated attempts to blame the victim, and your continual denials?

Please, can someone make you stop.

The only person more incompetent at his job than Isiah Thomas is James Dolan. Of course Dolan was surprised by the backlash. People who are incompetent at their jobs never anticipate the consequences of their actions, and are always caught off guard. Usually people like this get fired and the situation improves, but of course not here, which is why the Knicks are doomed.

Stuck with the idiot heir with too much money - a guy who never made a penny on his own, and a guy with a bizarre man crush on a long-time has-been who might be the biggest embarrassment in franchise history.

It's a great shame that the Knicks/Liberty/Garden were not sold along with Cablevision, because if they had been, you can be sure Isiah would have been shown the door on Day 1. Sorry to say, as it is, there is no hope for the Knicks as long as the destructive James Dolan remains in the picture.

Disgusting mail chauvinist pigs both. (I never thought I'd have a chance to use that term again in my life!)

To claim that Thomas is responsible in any way for what Bill Lambeer achieved is just ridiculous and insulting to both Bill and the team.

Why wouldn't he be surprised? He's clueless.

If true, Dolan's surprise indicates just how out of touch he really is. Isiah Thomas did a miserable job as Knick coach, was run out of town after a harassment scandal, and that makes him suitable to be hired to run the WNBA team? Apparently Dolan and Thomas are willing to completely discount Ms Browne's charges; and as adolescent boys (emotionally), that should not be surprising, but this is the world of grownups. Oh, that's right, Dolan's daddy never made him grow up... I am just waiting for the next scandal to erupt.
