Bald Eagles regularly migrate over Central Park and I've seen several of them in fall, mostly late Sept-early Oct, but they rarely if ever touch down. Back when there used to be an informal hawk watch at the top of Belvedere Castle the sightings used to be more frequent.
Jets beat the Rangers? That's crazy. At least one New York team won yesterday.
The fact that the sighting of a bald eagle makes the news says more about the livability of NYC than anything else.
