Loved Wales: In the mail, reminders of love. How can you not be reminded of love in a place like Wales with castles and their language - so magical (even if I am unable to read or pronounce a place name). A care package is exactly that, "what it felt like to be giddy with love, swaddled by the sensation of being cared-for" - just to know someone somewhere else is thinking of you and having a little bit of home or themselves with you.

It warms me to read of someone else's film/love found in the Dordogne. Ours was with Frederic Raphael, in Belves. The absolute kindness of this oh-so-private man, to take on man, wife and son. And now, in my state of age(ing), it roils that Medicare is not applicable in France. I believe, fervently, that if one loves a place so much, he should be allowed to live there. That if Social Security can follow you, why too can not Medicare? But I digress. . .
