I just don't understand why the real footballing powers (FA, La Liga, Bundesliga) allow FIFA to exist. They can easily bring down this corrupt house of cards and start fresh. Without them there can be no world cup, so bye bye to Russia and Qatar.

Great rundown. But I wouldn't count Mr. Blatter out of anything. Even after it's all over and done. Such desperation knows no measures, and if you can't get in through the front door---there's always the back.

Change the structure of FIFA and ensure that anyone elected is afraid of the people; without that type of change, you will get another 25 years of the same old same old...and the most vulnerable, those who would most benefit from lifelong learnables through the lens of sport, cannot afford that.

Sorry. Pipe dream. With those prerequisites no one would ever qualify, much less get elected.

Would former Auditor General of Canada, Sheila Fraser, be interested in the job or is she even shaking her head at this cesspool of supposed leaders.

How is it possible that you don't know that Zico is also running?: http://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2015/10/26/soccer/zico-makes-last-dit...

And Chung has dropped out and Gianni Infantino is confirmed...which would seem to be the end of any aspirations or hope that Michel Platini might have had.

Zico is not running.

Sexwale as president and Infantini as Secretary general the others are misfits

How about Pierluigi Collina? Above reproach, and with that intimidating stare....
